I personally think more time should be spent developing the game than worrying about a release date. It's still so early in the game it's almost not worth it to release an ALPHA. Keep at adding on to it, keep it all in house until the time is right.

Alexandre, how difficult would it be to put in multiplayer for this? I'd imagine it would be very difficult, but it would also be very cool. Of course, it's more of a secondary thing that you should think about afterwards.

It would really depend on how the multiplayer system works. It would take some work getting a netcode going and maintaining it but I think it wouldn't be too hard. He's also already made comment that there might be a Multiplayer option in the future.

For us is not that difficult (well, games/advergames is what we do for living, lol), I already did some tests in a similar game. Everything now is about time and resources ;)

I saw on the dev blog that there was going to be a tablet for finding suspects. Does this mean something like a radar type thing on the HUD or something to the effect of an iPad that the player character will actually carry around?

I think it will probably be the latter.

Yes, it will have a tablet (like one, lol) where the officer can search for criminal records on persons, vehicles and check missions.

A tablet is an example, consider something like a police mini-computer also, lol

I think it would be cool if you supported controllers.

 

Some people, like me, feel more comfortable playing with controllers.

 

Just an idea.

Criminals should run in players opposite direction when they see the police

 

Is there going to be an option to be 'undercover'? As in wear plain clothes (still w/ gun and badge), and the crooks wont run from you?
