Hey guys, @willpv23 is right, I play APB, this is very different, you cannot consider this even a shooter, you can shoot anyone, anywhere, but it is more complicated :)

We are not sure about this yet, for now I can say it will cost like any other indie game (so, no big prices), but Alpha will be free, so the community can really help us to make a better game.

New question I have on my mind: Will it be able for you to create callouts that happen each time very differently? I mean, is it possible to script them so that for example a thief isn't always running the same direction or stealing at the same shop, but in different locations, at different times, with different results and effects? This would be a dream: playing forever, but responding to new callouts. Of course, they can be somehow similar to each other, as they are in real life.

I think it's already being implemented.

For sure, I personally wants it really bad :) actually, updates yesterday were (in a testing environment):

- Bandits spawn randomlly and make random robbery (they stand still, in their peace lol, when someone get near, they call the robbery);

- They can shoot or just run away after some seconds of robbery;

- The civilian will keep screaming for help, people around can stay with fear or run panic;

- If they see a cop, they will wave and try to call for help;

- If the civilian get shot, people will get around, curious about what happened (curious may kill you, lol);

- Bandit run away for a period of time and then will mix into the crowd;

- Police can question the civilian (if survive the robbery) about how the thief/killer was (clothes, appearence, etc - this is still been developed);

- If civilians see someone armed (except the cops), they will get scaried, or panic;

- There are more updates ;)

 

I will make another video maybe today or tomorrow, not a teaser, a gameplay video showing the game has and pretty much what to expect for this alpha.

Adding to what you said up there...

 

In NFSMW (the original NFS Most Wanted), there'd be filler text about civilians calling the police. One of the outcomes was the caller hanging up before giving an ID. Could that be implemented if the civilian doesn't want to rat out/didn'tget a good loook at the thief?

 

How will arresting work, is it like LCPDFR where you walk into a marker and it's all taken care of automatically?

 

Also for points, are you able to hide the XP display? The newest Call of Juarez had that, by default it displays XP gain numbers but those can be turned off as they can get VERY annoying.

By that, I mean the messages saying you got points/XP, like 'Arrest +50' and so on

Hey @celticfang

Civilians can or cannot provide all info about the suspect, this was finished today ;)

For now, arresting is like in Swat 3 and 4 games, you have to keep a button pressed and a bar will fill. We are thinking about it yet, also, we cannot please everyone, unfortunatelly :(

But we will do our best to check what the community wants. With this version, probably, we will make a forum for the game.

 

The HUD is total for testing, we are making a new HUD already, but it is not ready yet.

 

And it will be messages for events ;)

Lol, looks like the one... we had a leaked file

We had a problem with a guy, anyway... he wants the file so bad and pretended to be someone else. We even sent the file. I do hope you are not the one I am talking about ;), otherwise, why not tell us where it is hosted?

Anyway, have fun with it... it is old though, new version will be available for everyone next week, with much more content and a real city map working.

 

I don't know also why spread this, the game is not a big title yet and this things could only end helping us anyway :)
