What the fuck is that a post to mean? Trying to start a flame war?

Mind going easy..?

America has to fix their Ammunition laws, like the Netherlands has to fix their Drug laws. In the U.S. it's too easy to get a handgun and- or heavier.

Look up California's gun laws (just passed a law requiring a background check and $50 tax just to buy ammo). They also require a registry for all guns. None of that solved anything here.

First off, yes it is kind of easy to get a gun. But like most people don't know most guns used in shootings are stolen or they are bought off the black market. They don't normally go into a gun store and get there gun. They go to the ghetto of some shitty neighborhood and buy a gun. That way if they want to get away with it, well there is no way to track where the gun went.

Doesnt matter how many laws you put in place, people will still break them. Murder is Illegal and you can get the death penalty in most states for it, but people still do it. So putting a law saying "hey guys you can only have magazines this big with this much ammo in it" I don't know about you then wouldn't you just take more mags? Most states are passing laws, that have more in deep background checks...

Last year my brother was trying to buy a pistol (he is 24 and he is a fire fighter) and he was denied because he had a few tickets...

Here we go about gun laws again.. the U.S shot themselves in the foot by even allowing that open carry shit, i'm sorry but who the fuck needs an M4 or an AK-47? everyone just needs to get over it, everyone has their views on what they THINK is right and what they THINK is wrong, nothing is going to change for a long time, tons of people are dieing and will continue to die because the U.S and their lenient gun laws, now the United States will suffer the consequences of their decisions and views and gun control, my opinion, no one NEEDS a gun for anything.  and people wonder why no one likes americans...

Only government personnel should have ANY access to any weapons.. no civilian background checks, NO.... GUNS.... PERIOD!

And what makes an entity that killed at least 292 million people outside of war in the 20th century so qualified to be the only ones with guns? Again, the areas with the highest gun crime in the US have the strictest gun laws, while areas with the most lenient gun laws in the US are some of the most crime free. The only way to enforce the laws you want to see passed is through drastically increasing the arms of the police. They tried that in Brazil, and people knock out cops or kill them to get guns, and yet it still is the most gun violent country.

Also funny that you mentioned M4s and AK47s. M4s are illegal for civilians to own and AK47s require a 6 month background check (and they are 10s of thousands of dollars, so most can't afford them anyways). By the way, hands and fists are considered weapons and used to kill twice as many people in a year as the scary black guns do in 10.

I think going in depth into laws and other government policies isn't going to hep the situation .You think gunmen(that has so far killed 6 people) follow laws?  They don't...

That's my view anyway.

The same day as the Newtown, Conn. shooting, a man in china broke into a school and used a knife and slashed 23 children, so in your case, lets ban knives too, right? Don't believe me because you didn't hear about it from your mainstream media? Look it up and get your facts straight. The second amendment states: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." The United States earned it's freedom from a tyrannous government and made sure it would never happen again, hence the second amendment. Nobody "likes" America because we want to keep what we so desperately fought for? Yeah, okay lol. I think you should get some facts straight before posting an ignorant comment like that against an entire nation.

You know who could have stopped this shooting? One citizen that was concealed carrying, and being allowed to do so and not have to worry about being in a "gun free" zone. All these gun free zones are doing is creating an environment where a shooter can go in knowing he will meet no resistance. Also, I find it very ironic that the people who are so against concealed carry permit holders, and who are so afraid of guns don't realize, that the minute something goes sour, those CCW carriers would be the first and only people that would be able to protect somebody.

InnermostZero has it exactly right, "People kill people, not guns." Sick people will always find a way to hurt others, like the man in China, the last thing we need to be doing is taking away a tool that would stop these threats.

If I were you guys in the EU and ASIA I would be worried. What was the first thing Hitler did before he started taking over Germany and taking all the peoples rights away? He took the guns away from the people, unarmed the entire nation, so when people wanted to take back their country they couldn't. Once again in 1774-5 ish The British tried to take away all of the new colonies weapons and disarm them. Why? Because the British were afraid of a back lash (which ended up happening as you can all see)

I could go on all day, the minute the government takes away the peoples guns, they have all the power now and they can do what ever the hell they want.

80% of guns used in crime are stolen... Instead of  going after guns and saying we need to do this and that, maybe go after how they are kept. There is no real law on how you keep gun, but in my house we keep them in a gun locker that is bolted to the ground and has 6 number combo to get into....

Defending gun ownership with saying that they are needed to fight the government is a bit outdated. We don't live in the 18th century anymore and we should behave as such. Also, psychiatric health care is very important to prevent some of these shootings from happening. However, a lot of countries including Belgium and the US have got psychiatric care systems which do not provide enough protection. And to say that people kill people is only partly true. I live in a country with very strict gun laws which results in very few gun related crimes as there are very few weapons in distribution. In the rare occasions that a gun is used, it originates from foreign countries, particularly the old Soviet Union, where you can buy a AK-47 for 100  euros. Up until now, the police have handled these rare incidents on their own just fine. For example, when my house got broken into, the police responded within 7 minutes. I doubt I could have done anything more in that time.

That being said however, I have nothing against private gun ownership for self defense, stored in a proper manner like you said so. When a burglar decides to break into a house, it's his decision to do so and he should face the consequences. Unfortunately, where I live, self defense seems not to exist as we have numerous cases were people get convicted for defending themselves. For example, a 70 year old men got convicted for shooting a robber who broke into his jewelry store for the sixth time.

Finally, I do understand the concerns of Americans. A lot of police forces seem to be forced into budget cuts which drastically influences their capacities. (For example, the Detroit police:
