Hey guys, i need you're advice

Drop Kaspersky, just use the free one from Microsoft.

But yeah, seems like a pretty nice setup. If you're going to be doing some video editing or something like Photoshop alot, I would go with a i7 because of hyper threading.

All Core i series CPU's have HyperThreading, not just the i7. The difference is that the i7's are generally clocked higher and are quad cores. i5's may be either a dual or a quad depending on the model.

  • I'd go with 6GB or 8GB RAM, other than that the PC should be able to run GTA IV on maximum settings, yes.

  • Yeah probably, pretty sure you would be able to get that to run.

  • I'll tell unr3al, if he doesn't come here on his own, to check that list and tell you if something is wrong. He is better with computer hardware than me.

Hey guys,

Quick question "hoping to get a quick answer :P"

Is Nvidia better than AMD ?

[EDIT]

could you recommend a good graphics card ?

Edited by JordanH

[betasupport]

Let me tell you, from experience, nvidia cards have more elaborate and better features than the ATI(AMD) cards. The nvidia driver is also much better than the ATI one, there is tons of stuff you can configure and it feels nice. I would definitely buy a nvidia over an ATI any day.

ATI Graphics provide more FPS, but a little bit less quality. At nVIDIA it's the opposite, but there's not much difference either. I would go with nVIDIA, because the name is cooler and more quality for just 1-2 FPS. But I never tried ATI so you can't go on my advice.

[betasupport]

GTX 580 and Phenom II X4 955? Now that is a PC how I like it. That should be able to max GTA IV out, if you ask me.
