Wasn't necessarily directed towards you, just anyone who tried making the "that's not natural because evolution won't happen if everyone's gay" argument. I understand what you meant in your post before.

 

Edit (this literally just came to me and I actually got out of bed to post this): Here's another argument that will shut down any "evolution" arguments. Donating sperm and insemination. Homosexual males can still donate their sperm and homosexual females can still be inseminated to continue the whole "passing down your genes" thing.

 

Don't know what insemination is and are too lazy to look it up? It's when a female has semen injecting into her reproductive tract. No sex involved.

 

Also, after thinking about my other post about how one becomes homosexual, I realized that some people who actually think might say that homosexuality can be considered a disorder. True, but that still doesn't mean that we should take their rights away. The only time someone's rights should be taken away because of a disorder is when that disorder is impairing their judgement (making them a serial killer or something) or some sort of important life function (like if you are required to stay at a mental hospital (or half-way house, or anything like that) because you can't take care of yourself - mental hospitals are pointless, however, because the "hospital" part doesn't exist; those places are just "storage places" for the mentally ill when they could be getting actual treatment, but that's a different topic), and even then they should be treated as equals.

The point is it being unnatural. You sound like you're in favor of the unnatural things.

Saying that homosexuality is unnatural is a bit nonsense, some male (or female) animals (and we are animals) are attracted by other male (or female) animals.

It's just that about procreation, the "natural" and only way is male+female. But procreation is different from love or sex "for pleasure" or simple attractivity.

And as will said, they still can donate sperm and be inseminated.

 

I'm not gay, I'm 100% hetero, but I really don't care if there are gay people, they do what they want to do (well, it's not really a choice though, but you get the point).

I don't really understand why some people are shocked about homosexuality, gay people are not raping you everyday, aren't they ?

 

What is upsetting me is that, I take example of my country, we had several months of debate about gay marriage (and it was authorized a few days ago), and ok it's important for LGBT people, but imho there are way more critical problems in my country for the moment (unemployment, economic crisis, criminality, etc...). The law allows gay marriage now, it's great for gay people, now it would be better to discuss about other society issues, we're getting tired of this useless debate (useless because the law was approved so there is nothing to debate now, I mean).

Here I go again...never getting to sleep tonight, lol.

 

This argument should clear up EVERYTHING with gay marriage in America. For the sake of argument, suppose "I" am gay and "you" are straight:

 

According to the United States Constitution, all men are created equal (men refering to mankind - all humans - for those who might think otherwise). That means I am equal to you. If we are equals, why can't I marry the person I am in love with but you can? Shouldn't we both be able to get married to the love of our lives, regardless if this person is of the same sex or not?

As are airplanes, cities, and clothing, yet you say you're okay with all of those things.  It sounds like you're using "unnatural" as an excuse for your personal prejudices.  To answer your accusation, I am in favor of civil rights for all legally consenting people of any ethnicity, sexuality, nationality, religion, or gender.  If that is "unnatural" then so be it.  I'm also in favor of any "unnatural" thing that improves the quality of life for individuals without harming others.
