So I decided to upgrade to ELS v7 after so many people said it's awesome.

And I agree, it's awesome, except for one thing.

When I am playing LCPD:FR and arresting someone or am in a pursuit and call for backup the backup just vanishes.

I can see them on the map for about 2 seconds before it removes itself.

 

And it's not just for the backup.

I made myself get a wanted level and have the police chase me, but no police came after me.

 

Does anyone else have this problem?

Do you know how to fix it?

I also have this problem but I think it is due to the amount of els enabled cars that els permits to be in the game try to change your settings and see if it works

Yup; just increase that and you should be fine.

I have no problem with ELS 7 and back up. As well, all MaxElsCarsAtOnce does is disable the lights when there are more than that many cars running ELS. For example, if you set that to three, there will be 3 AI vehicles with lights, but the rest will be there just without working lights.

I have the same issue and haven't been able to find a fix. After I arrest somene I have to call for a transport and then after it disappears I hit F12 for an additional unit and they come.

ELS does clear out cars under certain circumstances when there are too many. This is also why cop cars disappear ahead of you if you're driving with a high wanted level.

i have tried searching for this but......is there a fix for this? because i have the same problem.....when i call for backup/ ambulance they just disappear on the minimap. and i know its ELS because when i disable it, the backup and everything works everytime...

I think you can adjust the AI detection radius as a workaround, but the bug, annoying as it is, really improves stability.

well if you change that posted setting to around 150 it allows stock police cars to provide backup for you els car....if all are els then they still vanish

Increase this value;

 

Els_Range_Ai = 400

 

This setting dictates how far an ELS AI car has to be away from the player before it disappears.  With it set at 400 the AI can respond as backup and can perform all of their duties as normal without disappearing.

you want traffic to act as if the siren is on without it being on? like just lights on?
