(WIP) Boston Police CVPI Pack

Nice work on your cvpi pack.

Only thing I am going to say is that IMO my CVPI is not inaccurate.

Every department has multiple variations of their units.

I chose to go with the Liberty version.

yeah I did not color the lightbar glass, but at the time I did not possess the skill to use PFC's liberty with mapped glass(I would have needed to map it).

Other than the glass color, the vehicle, in mine and several people who I PM'd that live in the region's opinions, the model has a realistic lighting setup.

If you would like to see my full boston pd cvpi pack (with the legend and the unmarked one)feel free to PM me.

I will not go any further than that, this thread is about the OP not me or my mods, I however will not stand by while people call my shit inaccurate when it is a different rendition of the vehicle:

Beckugan I wasn't calling your models inaccurate just to settle that lol I actually like the models you released and used it for a time the only reason I made this pack was because I felt the Lightbar that gfxle gave me was as accurate as I could get to the real Legends they use if you understand what im trying to say, I also noticed that the lightbar has never been put on a cvpi or any other model for that matter but as I stated before when cj24 was making his points, I have seen boston cvpi's with Liberty's colored and uncolored so I back tracked from what I said to sKaure.

Don't reply to that though, all I wanted was some feedback on what I should do or add whats nice whats not im not mad that the thread got derailed lol I look at it as meeting some people around the community

this all just started from one giant misunderstanding and I apologise to Tim and everyone else for dragging that along, let me just say one thing atleast my first mod wasn't a Whelen Justice and a XT6 Like most people on here lately. and scratch modeling sounds fun so of course im going to try it.. very soon

I here by Close this argument for good... back on topic

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you've also made things that other people have already made. Need I also remind you that you actually quoted what you've currently got on your profile? - "Texture artis

  • Woah, at first I was all like, cool mod bro..,then I was like damn son, it's sure getting fierce in here.

Can't we all just...get along? And enjoy all mods that are put out? I don't mod but enjoy all the hard work you guys put into any mods or skins you create, even if they are "GAD". Awesome skin pack btw :)

I think you did a fine job XBR!  Keep up the good work.  Why anybody else has a problem is beyond me.  If you don't like it then shut the fuk up!

I for one pretty much enjoy all of the work you modelers do, from Tim98, Beckugan, Nutt, NickieB, to the new guy.  You guys all do fine work in my opinion...glue or not.

Good day,

May I remind you all of this line in our Community Guidelines:

Now, I'm all for constructive criticism as I feel it helps the creator look at what went well and what didn't quite work which they can then apply to their next model. Everybody starts off at the bottom and slowly works their way up the ladder, if you'd asked me last year what a hierarchy was or how to put a car together with these unlocked parts, I would've laughed in your face and said I had no idea.

Whilst I'm still attempting to create some small things from scratch in zModeler, the most I've done is modify the parts handed to me which'll be seen on my current model. Although my time is dedicated to my college work at the moment so I'm not sure when I'll get that thing finished.

Back on topic though,

I'd like to commend the following members for being the few members who stuck to our guidelines and defended the OP (who must've been feeling pretty shitty)

I'm sure there's many I missed, but these posts were the ones that caught my attention.

As for the OP; Continue with what you're doing buddy. It looks pretty darn good! Don't listen to people that moan "Oh here we go, ANOTHER CVPI." They seem to be forgetting how many LAPD & NYPD CVPI's (as well as others I'm sure) that are currently in the modding community.

Make whatever car you want. This community will stick by you throughout as we have proven time and time again.

If we all really look into the download section of every website you would notice the same department being released and rleasded over and over again non stop. We were once or are a GAD before. We must remember that. It downs matter what you create or you do. All the matters is the effort put in to the work released. Yes I am once a GAD too... Now that I have got the hang of Zmodeler, it's easier to do many stuff. Everyone has their opinions in stuff. Flaming like that ain't gonna help its Only gonna affect you and your reputation here. All them attend here is the OP's effort. I have seen many LAPD cars to be honest.... That's why I don't even try to do one.... Neither would I try to do a NYPD car.... Every modder hopes to do well in this harsh community. Being a newbie isn't easy. To be honest without opinions, I would have got to where I am today, having srcratch model a full set of Setina rambars, scratch made Lightforce spotlights. It's because of opinions and people voicing out their thoughts on the work. Yes there is testing more and more people who are doing mods. I do hope everyone really takes the time to understand the program fully and do what you do best. Lastly, I want to say is good work on the pack. And to the rest just stop all this shit and move on already. Saying all this won't help at all.its the effort that counts and not what you think of that person.
