No one was hurt, it was in the art room, and I was actually in the room. My teacher pulled the fire alarm it was awesome. Then again, it was pretty sad that he had to lift it and pull it 2 more times before the alarm went off. And yes I have school tomorrow., but no Cartooning & Animation.

We once had a small fire in our autos room, someone pulled the fire alarm and the fire fighters and cops showed up pretty quick....

Not really a dick thing to say when the FIREFIGHTERS get here 10+ minutes late..

Not to mention this is a HIGH SCHOOL that's on fire.

lol "Nice of them to join us."

"Time to bust out the marshmallows" would have been my joke. Ah to be in high school again.

Firefighters still have to drive there, and possibly deal with traffic. They have sirens, but not everyone knows what to do when they hear a siren. They don't have teleporters.

Not trying to shut you down but......

Assuming the fire department is volunteer, that means people have to leave their homes, jobs etc to respond, and be there (fire station) in about 5 minutes, then however long it takes to gear up (should be under a minute to get full turnouts on), then with the added five minutes of travel as posted above, there's 10-15 minutes right there. If the department is a fully staffed, full time department then I can see where you're coming from, but I'm just saying, volunteer firefighters all have other stuff they're doing rather than doing regular duties at the fire station...

(EDIT: Just found the fire dept's website, they're a volly company.)

Guess I'm lucky our high school is neighbours with Toronto Fire? We had a bug in our electrical system (like, an actual bug - as in living and shitting) which chewed on some fire control wire and set of the alarm. The firefighters were there before we got out of our school. Granted, they only had to cross the street and walk like 100m.
