[Request new feature] "requestCallout()"

Featured Replies

I suggest to add to the methods
requestCallout()
and overload
requestCallout(string typeof)

The purpose should be to be able to initiate a call-out with just one keypress in a feature-dll.

The method should pick one of the installed callouts either from all with requestCallout(), or from all of a special type requestCallout(string typeof)
The method should invoke even if call-out-requests in Police-radio is set to No-callout

I remember there used to be something similar if you pressed X. But I think it got removed with 0.4.

That should still work if you define a keybind for FORCE_NEW_CALLOUT. Alternatively, the police interaction menu also allows to trigger a random callout.

@GTAbear I am not sure if you are asking for a LSPDFR feature or API feature.

API so key-press could be used to invoke a new callout, but if there already i a functionality with "X", then it would be fine. I will try and see if pressing "X" works.

Yeeees. I need to set that up then.

Does it work for you?
I have tried with
input   :  bind "x" FORCE_NEW_CALLOUT"

I get the respond:
Console :  Bound command for x
But if i press x in game, nothing happens, and in console it says:
Console :  Unknown command or variable "force_new_callout"
What about you?
NB I do not have any callout-pack installed i only have the 3 default callouts

No. I haven't played LSPDFR in ages.

Not sure why your syntax is like this. bind "x" FORCE_NEW_CALLOUT"

It should just be FORCE_NEW_CALLOUT = X or whatever the enum equivalent is if enums are used.

"bind" in the console is used to bind keys to console commands. You can do it this way if you do "bind X StartCallout" I believe, since StartCallout is a console command.

LMS is referring to editing keys.ini in the LSPDFR folder.
