I finally got everything working

 

1) LCPDFR

2) Trainer menu

3) custom police car made by tim98

4) I downloaded the asI-ELS emergency lighting system from GTAmods

 

 

I'm guessing I got 2 system running but can only use 1 because when I hit the lighting system button it spawn a car? How do I bypass this to have my lighting information panel to show instead of spawning a car? I hope I explain this as clear as possible?

Try disabling the Trainer keys. Options -> disable keys

I still can't get my lights panel to come on? Also my siren is just the stock GTA police siren? Man this can be a headache for newbie!

Hmm...so what car does it spawn? This should help us out a bit. Next, the siren will always be the vanilla siren until you put a modded siren in.

You need to disable the trainer keys like he said and then I think ALT+M opens the ELS menu (you need to be in a car) It may be a different key than M, I remapped mine and I can't remember what it originally is. You can change this and the other mappings in the ELS.INI file. As for the siren, it will be the default GTA IV one until you change it yourself. ELS has nothing to do with the sound of the siren. The siren can be changed by downloading the siren you wish and replacing the horns.ivaud file with SparkIV. GTA IV>AUDIO>SFX>RESIDENT>HORNS.ivaud

I disable the trainer keys. When I hit ATL+M it doesn't do anything? When I have the trainer key on it will spawn me a bike? 

 

I went into the configuration setting of the ELS and it says that ALT+M will pull up the toggle information panel? I hit ALT+M and I get nothing? A couple of lights on my car is just froze up when I pick my custom police car and it's like I'm suppose to reset them some how? 

 

As for the siren I will have to download it.

needs to be installed in the main gta directory and make sure the slots are are enabled in the ini

My ELS is in my main GTA 4 directory... When I look at the configuration in the ini I can't seem to figure out which setting is set for my custom car? I guess it doesn't matter since my car has the ELS setup already? Even when I change some setting(enable/disable) in my ini it doesn't save it when I hit save? For example I change the active number 0 to a 1 for police3. I clicked saved and when I go back to it it still has police3 active=0? under Police1, Police2 are already active=1? I guess my custom car setting isn't under police1 and police 2? So is my car under police3? Just really confused?

Well I downloaded the LCPD sheriff cop car slicktop by Tim95... I thought that car is ELS ready?

 

No I am actually playing the game in LCPDFR with an impala and a crown vic? Everything works great but can't get my ELS information bar to work?

Yes My LCPDFR does work. I mean my game does not crash or anything like that. Just for some reason even when I disable the trainer keys my ALT+M key (for light panel) will not do anything?

I'll try remapping the ELS panel key..... My problem I had earlier was when I tried to change anything to the configuration key it wouldn't save my changes? Even when I hit saved. I went back and everything was set back at default?  I'll keep at it and keep trying different things. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Use SparkIV to remap the keys. When you you close the notepad, hit save when it prompts you. Then hit the save button on sparkIV itself

Just to eliminate some more factors:

 

Are you updated to 1.0.7.0???

 

Is the car showing lights? You just cant toggle them??? like theyre frozen(only 1 or2).

 

 

And does ELS work when you press J K L or nothing from ELS at all??

 

Make sure youre at 1.0.7.0 and have installed the files that come with LCPDFR(like dsound and script).

 

Try the mapping thing. Try reinstalling ELS.

(My ELS didnt work because I didnt update to 1.0.7.0 first time I played gta on PC)

I changed every disable to enable in the  car selection in SparkIV. EX: above Police1, Police2, Polic3, Noose, and FBI are all set to 1 which enable the ELS right? Obviously I'm doing something wrong because my light panel still won't come on when I hit ALT+M??? Yes the trainer is disable as well

It doesn't seem to be loading ELS at all. You're sure ELS is in the same folder as Trainer.asi?
