Is the information within the database the same on all gta IV installations?

 

Why?

 

Usually an officer on duty, unless he is with a partner, does not check the 10-11ed driver in his car, but by the dispatcher.

 

It would be cool, if you could check the ID of a suspect remotely, while the officer on scene is checking the papers.

 

Something like this:

 

Officer: 106 to Dispatch

Dispatch: Go ahead 106

Officer: In regards to that 10-11 on a Black Sultan heading Westbound at Dukes Expressway can I have a 10-36 on a Kendrick Small, Kilo-Echo-November-Delta-Romeo-India-Charly-Kilo Small, as in big?

Dispatch 10-4 Kilo-Echo-November-Delta-Romeo-India-Charly-Kilo Small. Stand by 106.

Officer: Thanks.

Dispatch: Dispatch 106, Driver of the 10-11 has been stopped 2 times recently, 1 Citation, no varant 4 arrest.

Officer: 10-4 stopped 2 times recently, 1 Citation, no varant 4 arrest.

 

Or it can go this way:

I hate codes... why can't you just say NCIC check...

GTA IV cant even do a good job on AI driving so I really dont think its got the potential to do that :P

A lot of agencies have computer databases these days.

 

Would rather have the developers focus on other things.

This is not needed and probably not even possible with the way GTA works

I believe that names and citations and all that jazz is generated randomly by LCPDFR, although I could be mistaken...

I found out, that at least locally the content is available for the whole time. What I did not check yet, is if the content is availabe after a restart.

It is generated randomly because I have bugged out after running ID and then pull them over again and a brand new ID

Yes, I found that out already, however, the person of the 10-11 before still existed in the database.

Due to horrible confusion agencies are now going away from the 10- dispatch and just talking it out. 104 is now affirm or copy. and so forth. also they are NOT standard. agencies have their own meanings so 1018 here doesn't mean the same there.

 

if anything we should focus on CAD vs voice dispatch  (yes its cool but... its just that). Now imagine if you can combine the VXD addons, the lcpd computer overlay, the stock gta map and els into the car computer.... you press E and it get to toying around in there

The details that come up when you check someone is randomly generated when you start the traffic stop, that's why some players experience a small freeze.

 

There's a set list of first names and last names, it randomly picks one of either kind, then assigns the remaining values (age, license, wanted) at random.

Cool... in that case, it should be no problem at all for the script do adapt the behaviour in the same manor when someone accesses the computer. In the end, they all originate from the same database, therefore, it should be some small amounts of nights to code such a thing.

For a consistent database I have been working on building my own, This will take names given from the user from sources such as LCPD:FR, and vDH's PoliceHelper, and then stores them in a database that will keep the values from one user to the next.

 

Right now it is a web browser program which requires an overlay or second computer to view, but I have been in touch with a modder to try and get it made in to a mod to simulate a CAD system. There is also a dispatch section which I am working on right now as well.
