There wasnt any abuse on the thread. There were several cases of trolling/extreme rudeness and arrogance towards us on our weebly site. However, we didnt close due to that. We closed because we were being continuously spammed by people for requests for things that werent open and even when we closed textures.

None of the guys on the team were getting anytime to do their own personal mods so we decided to close. However, we have not disbanded and still work as a team. We will be coming back soon, just not as Area51 and not taking requests. 

Oh, and what's gonna happen with the Intrepid? I've been waiting for it. Hope everything is ok

The intrepid made by steve has been scrapped, I believe(ask him). We will probably convert one for San Andreas to keep it as realistic and low poly as possible. 

 

As Area51 is closed, I feel there is no need for this thread to stay open any longer. Would a moderator please close this thread.

Hello Everyone!!

After about a month of being closed, the Area51 Team has decided to come back.

To keep this short, I will explain a little. The rest can be found on our site(if youre interested lol).

 

Why We Closed:

Basically, life was very crazy for all of us. We were getting lots of requests and were not finding time to do our own projects.

 

We now have more time and kind of miss this team thing. So we decided to reopen.

During the time we were gone, we have been busy improving our skills. The modelers now have more experience and our texture team has a new member!

 

How This Will Work:

The team will be taking Requests in TWO categories-Vehicle Textures and Models. However, Vehicle Models will be taken per SUGGESTION ONLY. Meaning, we may or may not do the car. The reason we do not take requests for vehicle models is due to the fact that we have much more to learn about zmod and want to spend time improving our skills while making models rather than making model after model to meet a deadline.

Requests will open when it is announced on this thread.

We pride ourselves in releasing quality stuff. Therefore, your requests will not be done in a rather haste amount of time as we want to make sure they are great.(Small amounts of time to complete a request=Less awesomeness) 

Requests can be submitted on our site upon the official opening of requests.

 

Finally, the team does accept apps to join. However, we will only accept people who fit the criteria and only accept people when we need more manpower. Apps are open 24/7 but only accepted/processed when we feel a new member is needed.

Please post here for any comments about the team and submit requests only on the site, not here. Every post/thanks we receive means a lot. So thanks guys for all the positive energy you have been expressing towards us!
