Hello,

I have a significant request to everyone, please help me find a police style radio with a USB plug or 3.5 mm jack that would plug into the output jack on the PC. This would allow you to use Teamspeak3 using mic clicks with a more realistic feel you would have to key the mic every time you went to talk over the air, this would keep the air open but silent unless someone keys the mic. Second thing... i was thinking of using a CB radio and making the channel listenable from other computers via a website like Radiorefrence.com where i believe you can Host your own scanner feeds. if anyone has any imput, ideas or products please post them. i believe this would be an awesome way to improve game play for multiplayer!

One thing you could check out is those headphone jacks for movies. When i watch movies late at night with my dad we have to watch with headphones so my mom doesnt flip. The cable has those huge end things so we plug them into a converter that plugs into a 3.5mm 

 

Let me know if you figure it out and I may do the same.

i understand where you are coming from how ever i play on the controller so when I'm driving i can basically coast and just steer, open up police helper, or pull over, on foot your pretty much covered and if you have one at gun point just keep the aim locked on them and talk if you need to you can always push the trigger into your leg to shoot, this also makes it more realistic because cops have to do it in real life as far as multitasking.... now on a keyboard its much easier.... i know i wouldn't mind this, worse comes to worse you can wear your usual mic and keep it muted unless you need it and talk on the radio the other times....

good job on your creation, but im looking for something simple and clean, im thinking i can use my department mic and just get and adapter and plug it right into my 3.5mm output audio jack couldnt i?

Know what pin type it uses?

It's has like one 3.5mm and then a smaller below that

Now you need a little rotating blue light on your desk when in police chases and your set to go ;)

 

On a serious note, I saw a plugin for TS3 that played a radio beep every time you pressed the push-to-talk button - you could customize the sound it played too.

If this is anything like I think you're talking about doing, it's a lot like ACRE for ArmA 2. Look at some videos for it. If it is possible to do, it would make any kind of police roleplay in 4 so much better. I would have a hard time believing it is possible though due to technical limitations in 4

This is pretty interesting, if only i had one of those mics... guess ill have to wait until after i finish the police academy to just use that one -__-
