What do you mean by shutdown?? The game crashes??

I'm so sorry for moving this up but I'm must be doing something wrong for the vans. The bags work, the text works and the response works. The custom skins for the vans do not work, I just get the same default dilevery van.

Did you add +livery to the vehicles.ide line for the van that you installed the textures under?

Probably you did not need that indeed, because a body bag has no liveries, but SPEEDO model has 4. So if you want them all be displaying you'd better add +livery in SPEEDO line in vehicles.ide

Hastings is correct.  Just add +livery to the end of the vehicles.ide line of the car you replaced [most likely the Speedo].

I didn't replace a car. I dropped the files into the vehicles folder I created in the models folder in the main GTA folder.

You've installed them incorrectly then.  You need a program such as SparkIV in order to replace a vehicle and its textures.  Did you read the Readme file included with the mod?

Well, I don't think it works that way. I was using OpenIV, I'll try Spark and see if that does it.

Found out what it was. I was not using OpenIV to install the vehicle files. I thought it ment to put them in the steam folder regularly.

Hi all, congrats for all your Mod's Mr. Abraxas, i think i have much scripts in game but with little scripts and mods i have same bugs close, well i work in some configs (im very NOOB) and i try play more time without bugs and crashes maybe 30 minutes is my record kkk i reinstall GTAIV much times and i have much patience with game, thanks in advance for some sugestions you can give me for no crashs ( gtaIV stop works, something with help script too) but i need say that: Congrats all for a good work

is a good forum and people too i try read all and maybe i find some help here for game. Thanks and continuous a good work.

Police Helper has an INI, located in the scripts folder of your main GTAIV folder.  What I did was turn off the ambient settings, the second and third line down in the .ini file, to 0 (off).  Seems to have alleviated crashing issues for me, without having to remove PH.

 

Also, if you use the Braveheart Policing Script, that could cause crashes and lag.  I, unfortunately, had to remove mine as it added some lag (I have a decent rig, but nothing awesome...I run at 28-33 FPS, high settings, low water, low shadows without BPS...but run about 20-25 with it installed).  When I upgrade my box later this month, I'll pop it back in, as it's a decent script to use with LCPDFR.

Hi Sir drdetroit, thanks for quick help answer well i will try that and yes i have Braveheart script too :/ maybe reintall all game "fresh install" and put so principal scripts I need learn more about config scripts i have a asus laptop with 4gb nvidia graphics and 16 gbs ddr3 memory I7 processor but some problems with grrrrr OS Wind... 8.1 i try all u tell and after that i tell u something and again very very thanks Sir ;)
