Police searching for April Jones have renewed an appeal over suspect Mark Bridger's movements, as they are given more time to question him.

Detectives, who have until 5pm on Friday to hold him, are dealing with a "vast amount of forensic analysis".

The search for April, five, is in its fourth day since she went missing from Machynlleth, Powys, on Monday evening.

PM David Cameron said it was every family's nightmare and urged anyone with information to speak to police.

The prime minister, whose late son Ivan had cerebral palsy, said the fact that April has the condition only made it worse.

"In particular we are looking to trace the movements of Mark Bridger between 6.30pm on Monday and 3.30pm on Tuesday and any sightings of him between these times.

"In addition, if anyone had contact with him between these times, we would urge you to come forward.

"By contact I mean any contact - including face to face, telephone, text or social media.

It pains me to see the McCain's still putting out sob stories and such to try and find Madeline. Its been how many years? Its not going to be happy conclusion.

What's even more frustrating is that April was taken a day or two after Megan Stammers was found.

A couple of weeks a go a young lady when missing in Melbourne, a few days later they found her body buried in a park, she had been raped and then murdered. Unfortunately for April she may already be dead if she has been missing for over 48 hours.

Yes what Tom H said is true. It seems they are standing down hundreds of volunteers to help look for April. It is such as shock for this to happen in this area. I live about 20 miles away from where it happened and I know a few members of April's family and it's horrible to think that it could have been one of my cousins or a someone young I know. There is a very good media response in the UK, so I would like to think that most if not all of the UK residents know about her dissaperance.

Stuff like this happen's around here, alot, 1 get's murdered, the remain's are found then another goes missing, this started happening in my hometown as well some 4 years ago around the local reservation's, the first one was Amber Mcfarland, she was found hacked to pieces in a sewer grate under a house, they notifed the city because of blockages in the pipes and weird smell, when they went down they found her remain's.... sadly, her sister went missing a year os so later, they never found her.

You figured the parents would have learned a lesson from the first time... It's sad people prey in the weak, in any case.

And it just enrages me that people can take little kids that dont know anything about the world yet from their families and kill them. I remember my mom telling me to be careful outside and if you see anything wierd come in immediatly. (we lived in a private community so it was that dangerous lol) But just the fact that kids could play outside a few years back w/out their parents worrying if their kid will be taken.

I doubt it, a 16 year old boy went missing about a month ago, broke free from his captor's, one is in custody and the other was found dead in Ontario either yesterday or the day before.

Yeah I saw something like that on the back of a box truck on the way home from a business meeting when I was stuck in traffic. It was a nice, blond 16/17 year old girl. Still in high school. She had been kidnapped. I thought to myself, nobody deserves that. That's really sad. And I still maintain that.

If any of you want inspiration to become involved in law enforcement, that's it right there, staring you in the face. Just one extra man with a badge being pro-active may prevent more of these from happening, and just one extra investigator may be able to help track down someone who's been missing just a bit quicker.
