If you could work for any Law Enforcement Agency in either Canada or the United States what would it be and why?

For myself:

LAPD- There is a huge Community with Gang Culture which i have a personal interest in as alot of my friend's from school were gang member's or were affiliates.

CHP- I love the idea of serving my community as a Highway Patrol Officer within either the California Highway Patrol or the Florida Highway Patrol

RCMP- I love the fact they are not limited to Highway Patrol, but are in every aspect of policing, you can relocate from one side of the country to another, Ocean Patrol, Highway Patrol, Patrolling Small Provincial, Municipal or "Regional Town's" in Canada's bound's but not limited to being restricted to Canada's Border's

NYPD- I alway's thought it would be cool to even visit the City of New York, but since the NYPD is so glamourized, i'll pass, even though it would be pretty sweet :thumbsup:

Me

VPD .(Vancouver) Because i love the city plus its only 4 hours away from me and has quite a high crime rate

AST. Yup the alaska state troopers because i really like alaska and the ast are an awesome group of people

Calgary police service. Because calgary is a nice city with an awesome pd

And last but not least

Maricopa county sheriffs office. Because i like the idea of being a deputy sheriff and its arizona

Out of these id probably go VPD

I would love to work on the LAPD, MPD, Milwaukee Sheriff department Miami or Dallas/Huston

I mean problably 9/10 of you want to work in LA because of its high crime and a chance of shooting someone in the face but that just kids talk. Would want to work in LA because the police department is run very well and works well. Same will Milwaukee Dallas and Huston

Calgary Police Service. Don't feel like moving to Manitoba or Ontario to do police work with the RCMP.

EPS, Because I love my city.

If would love to work on the highways. My favourite aspect of policing is driving and traffic stops. Maybe lower state NYSP, or any other high populated area like FHP. I love being in or close to the city.

Well, if we leave racism and corruption behind (as Slimory told me), mine would be:

MPS (Montreal Police Service)

OPS (Ottawa Police Service)

NYPD (Whatcha lookin' at?)

MPDC PD (Metropolitan of DC Police)

Won't bother to write reasons as each one has common- Awesome fleet of vehicles and awesome states which they serve.

Boston Massachusetts Police - Local and has good variety of crimes while still not being as gang-ridden as other major cities.

Las Vegas Nevada Metro Police - Non-stop calls, get to patrol the strip and industrial areas nearby, being proactive against drugs, drinking in public and prostitution.

Pierce County Washington Police - Great variety of calls, and would be a good opportunity to combat the Meth problem there head on.

Harris County Texas Police - Good F.T.O. who leads the department, forgiving of newbie errors and has a good degree of action without necessarily wearing you down.

Pomona California Police - Varying degree of calls, not as busy as L.A., same great weather, though.

Atlanta or Cobb County Georgia Police - Just an exciting area, although pretty dangerous in certain spots.

That's really all I can think of for now.

Some really good answer's here, but i don't want be in the LAPD ccause of a chance to "shoot somone in the face" not my aim nor is it my goal to kill someone, or even draw my service pistol.

MSP- Michigan State police (i lived their almost my whole life)

SHPD- South Haven Police Department (its my hometown)

AST-Alaska State Troopers (i like alaska)

Harris County Sheriff's Office, Houston, Texas.

Then again, I did get hired by them as a Reserve Deputy earlier this year, so maybe I'm biased :whistling:

Being an American officer would be pretty brutal, seeing as alot of gang's such as Crip's or Blood's originated in the L.A

For me, it's always been a dream to be a trooper.... Especially The Alaska State Troopers..... I LOVE Alaska... It's a fantastic place... Other Agencies I would love to work for are the CHP (Love their Bait car operations and their style of running things), NYPD (Love NYC too), JPSO (Nice place to be in... Jefferson Parish), LVMPD (Well Las Vegas is a freaking nice place and I have fond memories of Las Vegas!!), LAPD (Again fond memories of LA, but I wouldn't want to have to pull out my Service pistol or even a taser) and lastly APD (Anchorage is a nice place... Love their style of operating things and I LOVE APD and of course AST). Why AST? Cause it was the AST that inspired me :)

EDIT: One more agency: Singapore Police Force ( It's my country's PD)

I would like to work for the Toronto Police because im close to Toronto and it is a nice city. Highway wise i would like to be O.P.P. because my cousin was and it is an awesome force.
