I have installed the vehicles without any problems. However after testing it without altering the handling, I changed it in the handling.dat file and now when EFLC wants to load it just crashes. 

Any tips on this?

You sure you followed the instructions for installing the "Extra Vehicles" for EFLC users? There are special steps to follow if you want to install those.

In future versions it would be nice to see the cars from the extravehicles section available in the main folders as well because I dont like using the extravehicles stuff :)

Thanks for your answer, I have not installed any of the extra vehicles. Only the ones in the vehicles folder. 

Anyways I did not alter the handling for those and for now only the Astra and M5 are a bit of a pain in the ass without the custom handling but it's not that bad :)

problem with the battenburg pack:- got clean install, installed the trainer, strobes mod and the cars and the lights dont work, i cnt go near any police stations and when i quit i get an unrecoverable crash, help? :(

Hi apologies for being a complete noob. I have followed all the instructions in the readme for this met police pack but when I try to scroll through the vehicles I only get the astra, the Vectra, the vivaro, then I just get my character standing there and have to quit the game completely. I can also go the other way scrolling and get the Ford mondeo, then the Mercedes sprinter, then the LAS Volvo then I get the same " character standing" Crash. Can anyone help? I have installed ELS and LCPDFR and then tried this. I have got the Met police Peds pack no trouble. Any help would be greatly received.

It takes sometime for the game to load the models. I found when this happens, go into the menu>graphics, wait a few seconds or so, then back into game and the model loads up. Try not to spawn too many cars at a time, or your textures may go missing.

 

From what it sounds your ARV slot isn't working well, could you tell me which vehicle you installed into it?

HI, Thanks for the speedy reply, I have imported over all the files as police.wtf and wdt via spark IV so it just replaced the stock police vehicles. I haven't been using the Spawn option to try and spawn extra cars as am fairly new to all this. I will try your suggestion and let you know how I get on.

 

I am ex Met myself so if I can help you at all in designing textures etc please let me know.

                      Can you tell me which part of the files you added E.G. The added cars bit. Which part says that the new car will be a police car because i am making one of these files of my own. But i cannot tell which is the part that tells it, you are a police car! Use a siren!?

What do you mean?

 

If you're wanting the vehicle to be in the police slot then you rename it appropriately. E.g. "police" will make it appear in-game as the "Police Vapid Cruiser"
