Live PD | Canceled

Featured Replies

What is everyone's thoughts on the cancellation of Live PD and COPS? I've never watched cops but I did watch Live PD a lot and while I loved the show, it did seem to portray this image of the cops always being the good guy and the person of color and / or low income getting slapped in cuffs and hauled away. Does anyone else remember the episode where Officer Andrea Zendejas with the El Paso PD walks up to the guy at the car wash for a welfare check and arrests him for seemingly no reason? That's the kind of stuff that makes me wonder how much of it is scripted and how much of it is real.  I just wanted peoples thoughts -- if you have an opinion you think the moderation team would have an issue with, feel free to join the discord linked on my profile.

Older COPS episodes were great, modern ones not so much. I guess it's okay to cancel a show that's been running for so long. Don't care so much for this political bias tho.

I always enjoyed COPS and Live PD. I knew that since it was reality TV, there had to be some staged events to it. That didn't bother me though, I just liked seeing police interactions cause I found them fascinating. As for the whole political side of it, I can see both sides to the argument. Sure the show only portrays police in a fairly good light, but it also doesnt do harm in my opinion. We know there are good cops and bad cops out there, that much is clear. It falls to the general public to hold them accountable for their actions and to audit the extent of their power. Cancelling a show isnt going to do much to stop corrupt cops from existing.

It will probably be picked up by another network that don't care about the politics. I bet it will get more views second time around.

Glad to see it and pretty overdue. It was propaganda.

??? Hmmm🤔

Люблю смотреть английские сериалы с русским переводом, ммм.. А так, единственное что я смотрел из английских сериалов про копов, так это "Сатуленд"

.

I honestly felt like politics were used to do away with COPS due to their decline in numbers. I myself enjoyed Live PD. Didn't see a reason for it to be cancelled.

Love GTA in single player mode. This is finna be a breeze.

To Frost fusion, if you really watched the show, those people of color and low income people were arrested for drugs and money. You say you watched but then say these people were arrested for nothing, I loved the show LIVE PD. And every officer in there followed police procedures, penal codes, and code of criminal procedures to a T.   So please stop defending the criminals because the ones arrested were for a reason not just because like a lot of people think they’re doing right now.

I'm just saying what I saw and what my sibling saw. We saw Zendejas get the call out, slap the guy in cuffs, and take him away without any context. The call out was for a welfare check and they arrested him and didn't tell the camera crew why. I'm just calling like it is -- it all seems a bit shady and scripted. Just my opinion though.

A&E lost 50% of their audience because they went woke. Kind of a slap in the face to the fans of the show and LEOs that were apart of it. Sad to see it gone but not surprised with the culture today. Now when you turn on A&E they play storage wars eps for 8 hours straight lol. Fuck A&E

Lmbo that show has been off for how many years?

Круто с твоей стороны смотреть шоу. Я должен попробовать некоторые из ваших шоу.

It did seem to be less focused on community policing and more so cops rallying up the bad guys and the good guys winning. Like how a retired cop would paint the career through rather rose colored glasses instead of the reality of it being dirty, messy, and sometimes heart warming too. But just something besides POC or southern redneck does drugs and or drinks to much and gets arrested as a result.

FrostFusion, you had to of missed something as to why he arrested him,  I can’t remember that episode, but I’m sure you missed something. Is all I’m saying, because those cops usually don’t arrest unless they have pc to do so.

I enjoyed watching COPS at first but it ended up literally just being every other subject was just someone who had weed in their car and it became tiresome to watch. I think regardless of political views watching cops arresting people for possessing marijuana never makes for the most enthralling footage...

I think the earlier episodes were more raw and realistic. The chases were the best part of those shows in my opinion

Do you have a source? A google search doesn't mention any sort of news that LivePD is returning, and Wikipedia states the series is over.

My PC: i5-4590, GTX 1650 OC, 12 GB DDR3, 512 GB SSD, and a bunch of DIY to get it all to work!

Only 300$! You don't need 1500$ to play LSPDFR if you build it yourself.

I've heard talk of LivePD is returning, but I haven't seen anything myself. For anyone who doesn't know what happened with COPS, It did return, but only for people outside the U.S. Pretty great logic to only let people outside the U.S. see how it works I know
