  1. If you use Launcherbypass.asi you can freeze your GTA version and updates don’t affect it
  2. I just out of curiosity tried the “close nearby roads” option from the police radio interaction menu in 0.4.8. Previously in 0.3.1 it just made cars disappear, and didn’t always work, but it seems in 0.4.8 cars coming down the road will take the first exit before they get to the scene where the road is closed. its extremely realistic and makes managing the scene of an accident etc so much better. it just surprises me that this wasnt in the release notes, as it’s a huge feature and supersedes a lot of traffic control plugins.
  3. How come stop the ped is required? I am trying to avoid having to install lots of plugins as my game lags more. I used to have to install albo scripts for everything and his scripts always made my game run terribly too
  4. I can’t do that without uninstalling all my add on cars I’ve spent time building up my fleet
  5. Yeah but as I explained it doesn’t happen all the time. Yeah a few custom cars installed.
  6. Yeah I do get a bit tired of LSPDFR situations where everyone just starts shooting. It’s like if I wanted that I’d just play normal GTA
  7. By the way, your scene manager plug-in is a great idea. There is a huge gap in the plugins market for plugins for closing roads and managing traffic.
  8. Isn’t it something to do with swat and terrorist Callouts always being too resource intensive and laggy? No one will accept a Callout which will turn the game into a stuttering mess
  9. Kind of true but in layman’s language a script is something that runs through scripthookv and a plug-in uses ragepluginhook. Plug-in normally refers to an LSPDFR specific mod whereas a script is often a generic GTA mod.
  10. Script is either an ASI or a DLL that either goes in the root GTA folder or scripts folder. a plug-in is a ragepluginhook script, and goes in either the plugins root folder or the plugins/LSPDFR folder.
  11. No it happens on any vehicle. It used to happen a lot when I had TrainerV installed, I put it down to scripthook so deleted loads of scripthook stuff and it didn’t do it as much. Then it started again recently and I put it down to Finkones police radio uninstalled that and it’s ok again but does occasionally happen sometimes. it happens more when I run 0.4.8, doesn’t happen as much if I’m running 0.3.1 it seems. I would get rid of scripthook entirely but I need it for my steering wheel and pedals to work
  12. It doesnt happen every time i get in a car, but maybe 30 minutes or so into the shift (its completely random when it happens) ill press F to enter vehicle and the game will freeze and then just close on me, no error report, nothing. Does anyone else have this? I think its related to Scripthook but I only have native trainer, launcher bypass and steering and manual transmission mods installed as far as scripthook goes... Any suggestions would be very welcome as this has been happening for ages now.
  13. At the moment I just have my keyboard on my lap which works quite well for interactions etc
  14. I'd love for this to get updated. The random BOLO feature is great for a slow shift
  15. I picked up a Logitech G29 with gear shifter the other day, £228 but my God has it made my patrols 80x more realistic. Pursuits are actually a challenge again, and just being on patrol sat at the desk with the wheel in a dark room feels like I’m actually in the car on patrol. i would thoroughly recommend picking up even a cheap steering wheel and pedals without force feedback, just for how much more immersive it makes this game. Also default steering with keyboard sucks, controller is slightly better with brake and throttle but still the steering on a x360 controller is poor, it’s either 100% turn to the left or 100% turn to the right, just looks weird when all the AI cars are driving smoothly round bends and you’re driving like a drunk. Steering wheel fixes that completely.
  16. I enjoyed watching COPS at first but it ended up literally just being every other subject was just someone who had weed in their car and it became tiresome to watch. I think regardless of political views watching cops arresting people for possessing marijuana never makes for the most enthralling footage... I think the earlier episodes were more raw and realistic. The chases were the best part of those shows in my opinion
  17. Does the snow feature actually work? I used to enjoy this feature on other mods but it got broken with a game update if I remember right
