(Suggestion) Deactivate specific callouts

Featured Replies

Hi, just a little suggestion. It could be nice to have the possibility (through an In Game menu maybe) to disable specific callouts recognized by LSPDFR (including the native "store robberies" callouts). It could allow us, for example, to go on a SWAT patrol without receiving traffic related callouts, and so on. That would really allow us to tailor our experience for each patrol!

The problem with this solution is that not every plugin includes the possibility to disable individual callouts in their .ini files. And you can't disable the native callouts either.

What I suggest is a way to do it directly in game, "on the fly" if I may say so (via a menu or a command). There's a tab in the LSPDFR menu listing all the active callouts recognized by LSPDFR ; we could directly interact with it to disable or enable the callouts we wish to use or not use for our patrol of the day.

That would offer us a real "flexibility" in regard of what we want to do during our playing session, you know? Could be awesome.

For example.. You go in game and you decide to go on a.. SAHP patrol. Well you could directly disable all the non-traffic related callouts in the menu! The same could apply for SWAT patrols, foot patrols, bicycle patrols and so on.

Hey, @Cyan! Still planning on adding that function? 😋

This is something that I forgot about but it's something I will look into again.

Hey @Cyan, would you consider a feature to disable the built-in callouts only?

Not a separate feature no, but this would be enabled by the described work.

Yeah I meant kind of like Forestry Callouts which has an ForestryCallouts.ini with

//Only set DisableAllCallouts option to true if you want all callouts to be disabled, useful if your not patrolling as park ranger.
// To disable a callout change "true" to "false"

DisableAllCallouts = true
IntoxicatedHiker = true
RecklessDriver= true
InjuredHiker= true
WreckedVehicle = true
AnimalAttack = true
SuspiciousVehicle = true
LoggerPursuit = true
HighSpeedPursuit = true
VehicleOnFire = true
MissingHiker = true
IllegalCamping = true
RangerRequestingBackup = true
DeadAnimalBlockingRoad = true
DangerousPerson = true
IllegalHunting = true
IllegalFishing = true

The one I could do a lot less of is the Red Blip that pops up when a suspect drives by you and then there is the progress bar that that says joining pursuit or something like that.  I might be in the middle of something or I just don't want to go after that person so after a while it will go into search mode.  Somethings are disabled when in search mode.  That is one I would like to have disabled.

Go into your lspdfr.ini, do you have "Ambient.DisableEscapedSuspectEncounter" set to equal true?
