Unarmed Arrests

Will most likely become obsolete when LSPDFR 0.3 is released. Enjoy while it lasts :smile:

I've had this running in my game for personal use for a while, and I thought I'd share it with you all :smile::smile:

Don't like pointing guns at people to arrest them? This is your solution! With this plugin, you don't need to point a gun at someone to make an arrest any more - you can make an arrest while unarmed.

This is intended to be used with RPH 0.29. However, it also works with RPH 0.28 if you haven't updated yet.

Installation (same as in the ReadMe file)

INSTALLATION:
STEP 1: Copy Albo1125.Common.dll to your main GTA V folder - same location as RagePluginHook.exe
STEP 2: Drag and drop the Plugins folder into your GTA V main folder. Know what you're doing? Copy Unarmed Arrests.dll/.ini to your GTA V/Plugins folder.
STEP 3: In your GTA V/Plugins folder, open Unarmed Arrests.ini with notepad and customise your settings.
STEP 4: When you're ingame, open the RPH console (F4) and type 'LoadPlugin Unarmed Arrests.dll' to load it.
AUTOMATIC LOADING: Hold Shift after double clicking RPH.exe while the splash screen is open. In the settings screen that appears, tick Unarmed Arrests.dll to load it automatically upon startup.

How to make an unarmed arrest (same as in ReadMe file)

To make an unarmed arrest, make sure you have no weapon equipped and do the following:
STEP 1: Hold down the modifier key or the controller modifier button - configurable in the INI file. CapsLock and LeftShoulder are the defaults.
STEP 2: Make sure you're heading towards the person you want to arrest.
STEP 3: Press E/DPadRight (or whatever your arresting keybinding is) while still holding the modifier key.
STEP 4: Keep holding the modifier key. You can now keep pressing E/DPadRight like normal to cycle through the arrest process.

Having trouble? (same as in ReadMe file)

Unarmed Arrests may take some getting used to. 
If you're having trouble, make sure you're heading towards the person you want to arrest properly.
If you're still having trouble, make sure you're standing still while doing the above.

If you're using the controller, try the keyboard.

Still not working? Make sure you don't have a weapon equipped!

Make sure you put Albo1125.Common.dll in your main GTA5 folder though. The structure of the archive is how you need to place the files. Hopefully that makes sense.

    these are plugins & callouts developed by the community. LSPDFR has come a long way but it's still very much in beta, whereas LCPDFR is many many years old. Never seen anyone complain about the community developing content before, heh.

    we can only hope that they will implement all these things but until then we have to install them separate

    Well, i don't really understand how it works, yet! If i heading the perp and hold CapsLock and then press E, nothing happens. Sometimes he raises his arms and that's it.

    10-4 definately going to be interesting for a while till everyone figures out how to mod to the new stuff

    Its cool Albo,  I think most of us are prepared for all of this stuff to stop working.  Most of us veterans understand that its takes many many hours of dedicated work to get this stuff back up to par.  For me the 2 main mods that I can't live without is Arrest manager and Police radio.. just sayin :whistling:    Hey I got $20 on Albo to be the first to get his Plugin (At least to his magnitude) working first!  No pressure Albo LOL 

    You know... .they should really give you an early copy.. seriously you deserve it out of all of the other modders here.

    Hey ALBO!!  I have a problem or i found a major bug that maybe u can bring to the DEVS attention!!!    Why on earth is my traffic making u turns on the hwy or even disappearing whenever i make a traffic stop??  I think they made it to stop from traffic making a mess but it only takes away from the realism and no point on using (mimic)!!

    Please get the word out please.    Because of this problem i dont even want to play anymore. IT bugs me that much!!  @Albo1125 you are our only hope...lol   I have donations going to U and LSPDFR just hoping my words can get to them.

    Yea, really annoying issue (I'm amazed this made it to release lol, it's pretty obvious). I'm sure they're aware of it, but you can make sure by posting in the support forums.

    I did and made one too many posts about it!  The management team got mad at me :tongue:LOL...  Well, i ask u because u are the KING at mods and i figured u would be the one to pass on the info that a lot of people are starting to complain. Anyways thanks for all u do sir.  I just noticed u already made a mod that fixed the auto back up!  Dont want to comment there about it but if u could find the code or feature to turn this crap off that would be freaking awesome bro!!!

    It's now built into LSPDFR 0.3.1.

    This is obsolete as stated in the description.

    Hey @Albo1125, I have a question regarding Unarmed Arrests (Not the mod you made, but the integrated feature)

     

    Do you have any idea if one of your plugins is interrupting it? Many many people have been having issues with unarmed arrests and interacting with peds after asking them to leave their vehicle, if you think there is no compatibility issue, do you have any idea what it might be?

    Truly kills the experience for me to have to point a gun to a ped to cuff them, huge immersion killer.

    All issues with holding E / arresting peds are caused solely by LSPDFR. None of my plugins interfere with this at all - not sure how you got that idea.

    Oh, I wasn't implying it, I was simply inquiring, because I've literally done everything from A to Z to try and solve this issue to no avail.

    Do you think this can only be fixed by LSPDFR Devs, as an issue?
