Cop Holster is an RPH plugin that adds some unique functionality to the police handgun holster. It removes the handgun from the holster if a pistol is a drawn. It also comes with intimidation mode -- a simple feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Cop Holster works with both the player and AI officers.

Requirements
RAGEPluginHook 0.23 or higher.

 

Installation
Place CopHolster.dll and CopHolster.xml in your Plugins folder.
When ingame, open the RPH console (default F4) and type LoadPlugin CopHolster.dll.

 

Features

  • Dynamic holsters for both the player an AI officers.
  • Animations that automatically play when holstering and unholstering.
  • Intimidation mode, a feature that allows you to put your hand on your holster. Toggle with Right Shift Key (keyboard) or Left DPad (controller).
  • Highly configurable! Turn off animations, change keys, add new ped models for Cop Holster support, you name it.

 

Questions
Does this come with RDE support?
The RDE Cop Holster config file is in the RDE 3.1 download.

 

Does this come with EUP support?
Yes. Cop Holster comes with support for EUP 7.5.

 

How does Cop Holster work?
All ped models in GTA have what are called drawables. They are pieces of clothing or equipment that can vary between instances of that model. Many of the default cop models have two holster drawables. One is empty, and one has a pistol. Cop Holster simply changes between those two drawables depending on if you have your pistol drawn or not to give the illusion that you are taking the pistol out of the holster.   


I'm a ped model developer and would like to make my model work with Cop Holster. How would I go about doing that?

For anyone that is having the issue where the gun does not go back in the holster, I'm here to help. Basically its because the owner of lspdfr put in the animation to where without this mod you still like pull your gun out the same way you do. Basically when you pull your gun out and put it back in its doing a double animation therefore tricking this mod into not working properly. The animation from this mod and LSPDFR. I know this because if you don't go on duty and you put a compatible uniform on the mod works perfectly. So the fix is deleting the animation of you pulling out your gun from LSPDFR and it should work perfectly fine.

so how exactly would you disable the lspdfr animation? and what uniforms are you referring too?:D

I'm referring to the Emergency uniforms pack - Law & Order 8.1 Uniforms that are compatible with Cop holster and other compatible uniforms. Navigate to lspdfr in you main GTA directory. Then open lspdfr.ini and paste this line. 

Ambient.DisablePlayerHolsteringActions = true

Once you do that save it and your problems will be fixed.

I solved this by putting the LoadPlugin "CopHolster.dll" line below the LSPDFR line. 
After I set CopHolster to load after LSPDFR, I have not had this problem anymore.

mine isnt working when i add in traffic policer when i put it in the cop holster doesnt work and the pistol doesnt go back into the holster and i did disable the stock lspdfr function but when i take traffic policer out it works is there a setting in traffic policer that causes this since i see a few youtubers that use cop holster and its working for them and they have traffic policer in there game unless someone can send there cop holster xml to me so i can see if it fixes it then.

are you using all plugins like traffic policer,stop the ped and lspdfr+ and etc

I use a ton of plugins. I do use traffic policer, and stop the ped but I don't use lspdfr+ anymore as it was acting crazy and interfering with other plugins a while back.

my cop holster works every few times it will put it in the holster every few times do you know how to fix it since i see doug1637 and polecat 324 use cop holster and there cop holster is fine can you help me fix it i even did the settings in your cop holster xml file and it didnt seem to fix it.

make sure you disable the new holster animations from the LSPDFR update. They can interfere. 

add this line to your LSPDFR.ini :    Ambient.DisablePlayerHolsteringActions = true

the problem im having is when i draw the pistol a few times on patrol it doesnt go back into the holster and i dont see it happening to doug1637 or polecat324 and there using the same plugins i am do you think its the holster model thats gliching out or do you think its something people arent telling me to get it to work all the time.

Sounds like something in the xml isn’t registering. It depends on the gun and holster that it’s referencing. I had that same issue about a year ago but mine works flawlessly now. I should note I only use pistol not combat pistol and when I get home I’ll check the actual “teef” model number that I’m using to try to help you further.

im using the eup replacement belt and holsters also.

why isnt my cop holster working on duty and i disabled the stock lspdfr function. when im off duty it works but when i go on duty the holster is empty after first draw.

does anyone know when the author is going to update cop holster so we dont have to deal with the holster not holstering the pistol after putting it up.
