Installation 

  • Install RAGEPluginHook 1.74+. 
  • Drop the "Spotlight.dll" file and "Spotlight Resources" folder into the "Plugins" folder in your game directory.

 

Controls

This plugin has 3 input layouts:

  • Keyboard:
    For toggling the spotlight press I.
    For moving it use the NumPad (NumPad4, NumPad6, NumPad8 and NumPad2). 
    For tracking peds or vehicles press NumPad3.
  • Controller:
    For toggling the spotlight press LB + X.
    For moving it use the left stick. You can change this to the right stick or the DPad in the General.ini file.
  • Mouse:
    For toggling the spotlight press I.
    For moving it hold down the left control key and move your mouse.

 

And to open the in-game editor press F11.

 

Check General.ini file to change which keys/buttons should be used, or if any controls should be disabled.

i havent used this in a while and forgot to use it lol first time setup how does it work again i change my default key to clear by the way

I can't seem to get it to work... I have placed the files in the "Plugins" folder, but it does not activate... Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I am using the latest version of GTA and LSPDFR.

Not sure if you tried this or know this but i did it, simple mistake. This mod for me had to be loaded in rage. F4 loadpluging spotlight. all that. didnt know if you thought of that

says spotlight loaded but its not configurable nor i can get a spotlight

Be sure you are facing a wall so you can see the light. At first i was looking at the spotlight on the car, and it  looks like its not working.  the mod still works, Im using now.

 

Alex may be updating this soon with a nice fix. he found a way to.............well its not my place to say :)

    I love this mod but for some reason I have a .dll error after I load the plugin .... I was hoping does anyone have a solution to this?

    When I try to turn on the spotlight the mod crashes.

     

    Spotlight: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION DURING GAME FIBER TICK
     Spotlight: ------------------------------
     Spotlight: Origin: Rage.SleeplessGameFiber
     Spotlight: ------------------------------
     Spotlight: Exception type: System.AccessViolationException
     Spotlight: Exception message: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

    Crashes for me instantly too. RAGE is having issues. LSPDFR crashes and has to be reloaded at the beginning. I guess there are some known RAGE bugs. SO not sure if its RAGE or your mod. Insta crash plugin when using the key to turn the light on.
