pdComp — Police Computer for LSPDFR

A modern, immersive police computer for LSPDFR with deep records-framework integration.

pdComp transforms police roleplay in GTA V with a fully interactive MDT/CAD system featuring a simulated police-computer desktop, draggable applications, persistent records, evidence-aware court systems, and integrated records support. It now works with either Policing Redefined (via CDF) or Stop The Ped as its records backend.

Built from the ground up for immersion, pdComp replaces outdated menu-driven police computers with a realistic in-game operating system complete with:

Rugged police laptop interface
Draggable and resizable windows
Desktop wallpaper and app icons
Window snapping
On-foot patrol tablet
ALPR/BOLO notifications
Standalone ALPR plate reader and speed radar
Persistent criminal justice records
Persistent dark mode

Stop The Ped support — pdComp now reads records from Policing Redefined/CDF or Stop The Ped, selectable with the new `[Integration] Mode` setting (Auto / Cdf / Stp)

Optional UI and alert sounds for a more responsive terminal

Smooth, animated UI — frame-rate-independent easing on hovers, presses, and window open/restore, plus title-bar gradients, window drop shadows, a custom cursor, and pixel-snapped text for crisp rendering at every resolution

Deep Records-Framework Integration

A records integration is required — pdComp has no standalone vanilla mode. Choose your backend with `[Integration] Mode`:

When used with Policing Redefined + CDF, pdComp becomes part of a connected policing ecosystem:

Pulls synchronized suspect and vehicle records directly from PR
Supports evidence-linked arrest reports
Integrates with PR citation workflows
Tracks warrants, suspended licenses, insurance status, registrations, permits, and more
Uses tested evidence and relevance checks in court outcomes

When used with Stop The Ped, pdComp combines LSPDFR persona/vehicle data with STP's:

Document-status API (license, registration, insurance)
Alcohol-over-limit and drug-influence advisories
Contraband/evidence search results, importable as current-call evidence

- Added a Traffic Control page to the in-car computer: a live on-screen control surface for the ALPR plate reader and speed radar that mirrors the F8 / Ctrl+I / Ctrl+PageUp keybinds, so enforcement can be run entirely from the terminal.

- Added a tablet-use animation so the on-foot field tablet is raised and held in hand while it is open.

- Added ability to select multiple charges at once.

- Added printing sound when submitting citation.

- Added new death report.

- Added supervisor report review: filed reports now show a review status and return short feedback notes once reviewed.

- Added ability to link same piece of evidence to multiple charges.

- Simplified wording of charges for ease of use (Specifically Insurance charge, plus others).

- Added an LSPDFR police-computer bridge so ped lookups made in pdComp register with LSPDFR's own computer and persona database.

- Reworked pause and text input to fix keybind bleed. The game pauses once on open and clears once on close (when enabled), and text entry runs on GTA's native onscreen keyboard with no input lock layered on top, so the keyboard's modal state keeps other plugins' hotkeys from firing while you type.

- Reworked citation hand-off and field-tablet placement.

- Added STP registered-owner records and a warrant-reason resolver, and expanded the charge/citation catalogs and localization terms.

- Improved the charge/citation pickers with cleaner grouping and typography, and refreshed custom-catalog support.

- Added an option to switch clock to in game time.

- Replaced icons.

- Hardened native pause handling and window occlusion.

plugin is WIP and features will change/evolve/disappear throughout development as I strive more maximum stability and functionality

for now you can go into the conifg and set PauseGameWhileComputerOpen to true, that will pause the game so you can freely type on the computer

That interaction is handled by PR, not pdComp. I am not sure if there is a keybind for that plugin that would do that

Compulite actually had a bind for that however nothing in PR for that.

Hello, love the mod especially the court system that's included. Although I do have an issue with the evidence collection regarding groups of people. I'd like to link peds to a license plate. Ex- 4 gang members in the same car are evading arrest and shooting at you, you stop them and can only link the driver to the illegal contents of the car. If there were a way to charge each person with drug possession (if found in the car), that would be great. I technically can do it, but no evidence is linked to them, only evidence found on their person. This mod seems more tailored to 1 ped at a time or traffic stops, but I do a lot of mass shooting/terrorism/gang activity callouts and it would be good to see this implemented.

Also, would be nice to have a tablet similar to the "Police Menu" mod, so you don't always have to be in the car for the paperwork

I don't fully get it, are custom charges and citations not actually supported? I get a lot of dismissed cases and sure some of them migh've ended up like that so we'll call that realistic but some cases that couldn't be more straightforward - simple traffic stop tickets for example, but they still get dismissed. Asside from that it's pretty nice, took me a bit to figure out the whole evidence linking thing though, but maybe that's just me lol. Still nice mod, I'll keep using it.

Make sure you have Newtonsoft.json.dll in your main gta directory

it is in there i still cant get it to pull up at all. so nothing else has to be installed? i just started a new build all i have is els and a couple vehicles installed

You just need to have LCPDFR installed. Then the key to open is ‘

Could you make this available for players who use "Stop the Ped" as well? I have to admit that I'm not really a fan of the PR mod. I'm actually still waiting for a revised version of PR to be released—though we haven't heard anything about that for nearly a year now.

This will not support STP anytime soon. I recommend using Compulite with STP
