This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

 

Installation:

  1. Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
  2. Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
  3. Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

 

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.


If you don't already have them, download and install these

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

  • Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
  • Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
  • Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

 

Disclaimer, Please Read.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

 

Second!

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

  • Added to BackupSettings.ini:
    • ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
    • ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

 

Fixes

  • Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
  • K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
  • Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
  • Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
  • Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
    • PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
      If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

And many other small bug fixes, either too small to be their own line, or just missed.

  • Improved response/parking AI
  • Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
  • Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
  • Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

So, I dont think it's my game. I think it's just the way PR is coded as it stands. I've noticed other comments here and personal friends having similar issues.

It's just something that needs to be fixed.

Now granted, I do know someone who was able to install an Ai traffic mod and it helped, but PR backup still turns around awkwardly when spawned in from rhe front a lot of the time.

I think PR doesn't affect how the cops drives. It's more likely GTA5's AI driving handling issue. And the backups spawns depending on the location.

Is "Automatic Roadblock" compatible with Policing Redefined. When will the "Computer Redefined" come?

just missing one feature that StopThePed has with the option to disable TakeOverAllArrests where npc cops would arrest npcs they arrested,

since currently after the suspect has been arrested by an npc cop they just get back into the car drive off leaving the suspect there.

I was wondering if this was a feature also coming to Policing Redefined, or if a mod like that already exists that can work with PR?

You have to manage the cop to transport the suspect. Mine don't leave after arrest. They stay and guard. They never left, until you dismiss them.

Thanks for the response.

To clarify what i meant is that npc cops that joined in on the chase or the that you have requested via backup, are not automatically transporting the suspect away after they are the ones to take them down and arrest them, that was the feature in StopThePed in the ini files TakeOverAllArrests where they would already automatically arrest and transport the suspect away in their vehicle without your interaction,

if it was you that took down the suspect and arrested then yes they don't take them away, but either way as it currently stands they just leave the suspect to you whether it was them or you that initiated the arrest.

Great mod, but i keep getting an issue where a dead ped being treated, searched or dragged just instantly stands up and either walks away or starts moonwalking in one place. One time a guy even started to kick the car i pulled him over in.

It has to do with the Persistence
I just turned off the ped persistence in the ini files and it fixed it

Same issue happens with LSPersistence5

Heyo! Amazing mod, but does anyone else also have an issue with coroner autopsy COD always being "fall from height" even though it was a normal NPC being shot for example? Thanks yall :)

Is there anyway to fix the problem where if you send the K9 to attack a suspect, once it actually bites him the other officers will start shooting the suspect causing his death to be by the gun fire and therefore he does not respawn like he would if the dog took him down?

Doing on foot traffic stops doesn't clear, it says

[Fail] You have reached the maximum for stopped vehicles (3).

You need an extra Computer plugin. Plugins like External Police Computer or Computer+ or Police Menu.

Compulite from Bejiojo is not compatible with Policing Redefined.

thx for the answer , i already deleted the plugin cuz when i call like 3 units to backup game crash , however i redownloaded Bejiojo plugins again until i find a solution for this .

Did you installed Damage Tracker Framework and the latest RagenativeUI from GitHub.

yeah ive installed everything and Ragenativeui is updated , itried reinstall the mod but still crash the game after calling like 3 to 4 backup units in the game beside game also crash the LSPDFR plugin after editing the Policing Redefined .ini file , im really sad that i cant use this plugin well cuz im tired from bejiojo plugins also , thx.

Is there anyway to change the code responses for backup units. For example, changing it so code 2 response is no lights and sirens?

Currently, no. Dev is reworking the entire code from start. Eventually here soon, the update will be released. One of the features is exactly what you are asking for!

Hey guys and gals hoping you can help, mod runs flawlessly however after calling a tow truck and it arriving, the vehicle teleports to the back of the truck as per normal but when the truck pulls away the vehicle does not get towed with it. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of a fix?

Currently just have standard LSPDFR, LPcallouts and Policing Redefined installed.
