This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

The new era of LSPDFR is here.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

Installation:

Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.

If you don't already have them, download and install these

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

Second!

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

Added to BackupSettings.ini:
- ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
- ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

Fixes

Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
- PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
  If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

And many other small bug fixes, either too small to be their own line, or just missed.

Improved response/parking AI
Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

This mod works great and I dont have any crashes or anything, but if I am outside of my vehicle when a pursuit ends and the arrest/killed/outstanding summery pops up I am unable to reenter my vehicle. If I try my character will ignore my police car and try to enter a random nearby vehicle. This issue happens with any vehicle in the game both Addon and Replace vehicles. The only thing I am able to do is to respawn another car and use it until the next pursuit ends and repeat.

I don't know if this is already a know issue but when i call a tow truck it arrives and hooks up the vehicle but when it pulls off it leaves the car behind. Any clue if this is a PR bug or something on my end that i need to work out?

Do you have any partners active when this happens

Nah I honestly still havent figured out how to make tow trucks reliably work; they are a bit of a mystery

PR converted my UB files and I don't have any crash after but when I call for backup it's the LSPDFR cars and not the vehicles that are normally in the configuration that appear for the LSPD

Then your UB configs were messed up. You can also check yourself how the PR-converted configs look like to see whats wrong. PR obviously doesnt "hallucinate", it takes what you input (it expects correct UB configs!), parses it and outputs it.

No, PR is and will always a plugin that runs both systems

PR is aiming to replace STP/UB, i dont know that plugin

Thanks for the response! Great support on this mod, can't wait to see the mod get even better as time goes on. LSPDFR Police Advanced (WIP)- Moden Policing Plugin was the name of the other mod made by Sparky, wasn't sure if we can use both or not. I was assuming these both had the same functions so I wanted to ask before downloading any

I think there's a problem with the different jurisdictions. I need to see my regions.xml file in the data directory.

This is an amazing plugin, using it has brought back a ton of memories from when Albo's mods first came out. That being said, there are some... issues. Particularly with the AI. I've called for code 2 backup on the highway multiple times to help work crash scenes with multiple fatalities and each time had an issue where they refuse to park directly behind me, typically with the first vehicle parking sideways with the back half of the car in the road, then the other additional units will decide to just park in the road.

That being said, it's still a great plugin outside of that. I just wish there was an option to tell the all of a specific backup type to do take care of a specific task instead of only being able to do it one at a time, telling them to go search or preform CPR on each body. All in all though it's fine as long as you don't do mass casualty responses

I really appreciate the "move suspect" feature its fluidity is outstanding, and other plugins should definitely take inspiration from it! Also, if you could add an option to place cones using the same "move" function, it would save us valuable time when securing the scene efficiently.😉

I would assume not, but this most isn't compatible with GrammerPolice is it? Love using it to create more immersion and would hope it would still work the same.

Please add a mdt computer so we can pullover cars or do traffic offences and input license plates into the computer and it gives any outstanding violations also owner details make of model of car report stolen etc if stolen a red warning will come up also if a ped is wanted after a traffic stop red warning saying person wanted for. Crimes or outstanding violations with pic of the ped
