This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

 

Installation:

  1. Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
  2. Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
  3. Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

 

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

  • Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
  • Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
  • Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

    • ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)

Some details: i can kill the cop and loot cop's gun. If i kill that security guy and loot the gun - i have an error. Maybe there are some stuff related to looting different guns.

I made a fresh install (all mods w/o lidar which modding the vintage pistol) to test.

Hi,
First of all, cool plugin, I noticed two things:
1: How can I give orders to the paramedic? When a pedestrian is lying unconscious or dead on the ground and I call the ambulance via the backup menu, they do everything automatically (treat and transport). But I want to give them orders myself, like in the videos. Everything works fine with the tow truck.

2: Since I installed PR, my grammar police commands are no longer correct. For example, when I report that I am in pursuit, it sometimes understands that I am code 4, etc. I took the backup from UB.

And what do I do if I want to handcuff someone and it says: use force? Tasers don't work 😄

Hi I've got a problem: how can I interact with other npcs like EMS or Police officers? Example: I call ems but I cannot find the key to interact with them and tell them what to do, I have tried T or ctrl+T. Thank You

Anyone else having an issue with the tow trucks not grabbing the vehicles?

Dont quote me on this but I think it may be something with Report+ but im honestly not to sure. I have been wondering that myself.

yeah im not sure what that does or how to use it. My guess is that you make the citations in report+ or External Police Computer

1.) When you call for backup you cant just treat it like you would in stop the ped where they do everything automatically.
2.) You need to check your Backup settings in PR. You can find them in plugins/lspdfr/policingredefined/settings/BackupSettings
3.) find KeybindOpenManagerMenu and see what your keybind is set as. There you can change it also and add a modifier key to prevent key's overlapping. 
4.) When your in game press the keybind you use for that menu after calling your tow truck or backup
5.) Inside that menu there should be an option that allows you to manage the tow truck driver and give him command to impound the car by looking at the vehicle you want to have impounded and pressing the command.

lolz your game is not broken atleast I dont think it is

Tow trucks only take the car automatically if you requested one through the misc (also called general) menu. By default its Ctrl + T. Open it while standing near a vehicle, face the vehicle you wanna tow and hit the option in the menu.

 

Or as someone just explained, requesting a tow truck through the backup menu will send one and you can assign a vehicle to tow once it arrived

I need help, I have clear Plugins and everything but LSPDFR is still crashing after trying to arrest peds by aiming at them and holding "E",I realy want to use this plugin because it is made way better than STP and UB, but i can't figure it out myself.

Here i'm adding 2 videos, 1 with other plugins that COULD make it and 2nd one w/o anything on|

i have yet to fullly try this amazing mod. but on a traffic stop, if police partner could exxit the vihicle automatically like UB does would be good..also i'd like to take the back seat sometimes so maybe a feature where i could instruct them to drive??

Un mod vraiment exceptionnel ! 🤩 Néanmoins j'aimerais bien que ce soit compatible avec Compulite s'il vous plaît ou une alternative (option à part) pour continuer à mettre les arrests reports et Citations. J'espère que ça arrivera avec le temps et les mises à jours ! 🙏🏼💪🏼

 The Stoptheped and Ultimate Backup mod are mods that really have more within the LSPDFR community. 

  However, with this mod I think you have placed the bar even higher.  There is no shortage of LSPDFR to become the best police game. 

  As far as I'm concerned, I can't wait to test it but I would also like to share a wish with you because I love the idea of making the game even more immersive.  There are 3 suggestions that I would like to offer to improve arrests. 

 

 

1st suggestion:

Indeed, I would really like a developer to improve the escort of arrested individuals, that is to say to see 2 police officers NPC transport the suspect to a police vehicle then see an animation where an officer keeps the suspect while the other opens the rear door of the vehicle before installing the suspect in the vehicle, lowering his head as in real life. 

 

To give you an overview of the animation that I would like to see, here are realistic images below where we see 2 police officers escort the suspects handcuffed to the vehicle. 

It is only a small detail, but in real life, an officer who escorts a suspect does not let go to go open the door while the suspect waits kindly.

 

Especially since there are arrested suspects who sometimes do not want to get into the car or who do not allow themselves to be done. 

 This is why I would like so much that this detail is corrected in order to make the mode even more immersive. 

 

 I would add that a suspect must always be held by one or two police officers on each arm.  This will encourage the player to be more vigilant.  A handcuffed suspect who is not held by one or two police officers will try to escape.

 

 

2nd suggestion:

 I noticed a concern about prisoners with the Stoptheped and Ultimate Backup mod. 

 Indeed, when the PNJ police officers called in reinforcement manage to handle a suspect, he remains indefinitely on the spot as long as the player officer has not come to request transport. 

 

 So that would be great if one day we have the opportunity to ask the NPCs officers, to transport the suspect directly arrested to his cell to the police station.  It doesn't matter if you are close or away from the suspect. 

 Or if the NPC officers manage to catch a suspect, this must take it directly to the post to the cell. Then the player will report when he returns to the post. This will prevent a suspect arrested to make the green plant in the street indefinitely. 

 

 

3rd Last suggestion: 

 It would be great to make a mod that would add the PNJ player the possibility of performing a force arrest. 

 

 Let me explain, currently in the mod we have 2 types of arrests, the classic arrest where the individual lets himself be handcuffed without resisting and we have the lethal arrest where we must aim for the suspect with a weapon to handcuff him. 

 

On the other hand, I find that the arrest of non-lethal force is missing for unarmed suspects trying to resist or flee.

It would be necessary to have the possibility to handle a suspect by placing it either on the wall or on the floor. 

 

For the force handcuffing animation to be triggered, you will have to be very close to the suspect.  It should be noted that the mastery and handcuffing of the suspect will be easier for an officer if he is assisted by the other NPC officers. 

 

Here I tell myself that it would be nice to have 3 types of arrests:

 

1- Simple arrest (no resistance).

 

2- Arrest without Lethal-force 

(placing the fleeing/resisting suspect on the ground/wall to handcuff it by force)

 or (use a taser or a baton to immobilize and handcuff the resisting suspect). 

 

3-Arrest with Lethal-force

(use service weapons to force dangerous/armed suspects to surrender). 

 

 

 

 Conclusion: A big thank you for everything you do, I hope you appreciate the suggestions that I hope may make.

If I was a developer, I think I would have created a special arrest plugin but unfortunately I do not have this talent. 

 On the other hand, if I can contribute by offering some ideas, I will do it very well, especially if it even improves police immersion to the game.

I noticed when calling for a large tow truck, it uses my small tow truck model instead which is weird basically watching a pickup truck haul a massive semi. Can we get a config in the future to change which models spawn for each tow type?

I installed the mod and it works to half i guess. i can open the backup menu but not the misc and unit menus and any others and my character runs faster sometimes idk what to do

One question. In Ultimate Backup, backup partners grab the weapon when I do. In Policing Redefined, this isn't happening. Is there a setting that can fix this?

I've never seen a mod that everyone is so hyped about! Looks really promising cant wait to try it!!
I just got two questions, PLEASE tell me we can use it 100% offline (unlike STP & UB)?
Also can i call for backup and have them head to the selected waypoint on the map? instead of having to be on scene and call for them

I love this idea this would make role play more real life .i would add 1 more thing have a k9 dog guarding the prisoner also so the k9 partner is sitting or standing near the prisoner as you open the car door and prisoner gets inside car then k9 leaves and sits beside you waiting for next order or command like get in back of car or leave the scene with another officer

Hm, no they dont do that, but if you start aiming at a ped they will aim at it too. However you can suggest that feature in our discord so I dont forget about it

There seems to be a bug in this mod. I get an error whenever I try to commend the paramedics to take the patient. Please view attachments. Kindly help me with this. Also we don't have the option to call a taxi for the ped and doesn't give us the option how many suspects to take for Prisoner Transport. It only takes one prisoner.
