SimpleCTRL Plugin for GTA V

A friendly, feature-packed plugin that brings realistic vehicle control and immersive driving mechanics to Grand Theft Auto V.

🚘 Features

Tire Retainment | Keeps the wheels in the direction they were last turned when parked.
Brake Overheating | Adds realistic brake overheating mechanics, encouraging smarter and more cautious driving.
Prevent Seat Shuffle | Prevents automatically switching to the driver seat when entering from the passenger side.
Automatic Brake Lights | Activates brake lights automatically when the vehicle slows or stops.
Prevent Automatic Reversing | Stops the vehicle from automatically shifting into reverse after braking from forward motion.
Leave Engine Running on Exit | Allows the engine to stay on when exiting the vehicle.
Realistic Vehicle Damage System | Implements detailed damage mechanics for more immersive and believable crashes.

⚙ Requirements

RageNativeUI | Please make sure RageNativeUI is installed and up to date.

📥 Installation

Navigate to your GTA V directory *(e.g. `C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\`)*
Create a folder called `plugins` if it doesn't already exist.
Drop the `SimpleCTRL.dll` file into the `plugins` folder.
Launch GTA V!

• Corrected modifier key functionality while in park mode.
• Made user interface enhancements including color adjustments and capitalization of MPH and KMH.
• Implemented a class check during foot repairs to prevent crashes with certain vehicle types, notably motorcycles.
• Introduced a configurable SpeedometerFormat option in the [DISPLAY] section of the ini file, allowing users to choose between MPH and KMH.
• Expanded repair shop locations for added convenience.
• Addressed a problem with gas station props failing to spawn, attributed to a minor issue with the game engine.
• Temporarily fixed the park mode setting when swapping vehicles, with plans for a more comprehensive solution in the future.
• Optimized repair button behavior to disappear upon reaching 100% vehicle health, enhancing user experience.
Overhauled UI elements, eliminating the dependency on RageNativeUI 1.9.3 by integrating all components directly into the user interface.

• Adjusted the RandomizeFuelLevel method to increase the likelihood of spawning vehicles with full tanks, now set at a 75% probability for optimal gameplay experience.
• Rebalanced aircraft fuel consumption rates, ensuring longer flight times before requiring refueling. Users can adjust settings in the AircraftSpecs.json file located in the SimpleCTRL/data directory.
• Fixed a critical issue where the aircraft refueling system failed to recognize controller input, ensuring seamless refueling operations.
• Addressed a controller-specific bug where the refueling animation failed to halt upon releasing the gas station trigger, ensuring smooth user interactions during refueling.

Happy Holidays, before the update, everything worked just fine. After it, whenever i try to load plugin, i get a error and states I'm missing some libraries. Which I don't believe so and that I should've downloaded and installed everything.

I'm a bit confused, do the Oil and Fluid do anything or require some sort of player interaction? Or are they aesthetic for the HUD?

They do. Oil and fluid require your car to be damaged in order for it to say anything. And then you have to get out and manually repair your vehicle.

I am having an issue where I install everything and then go on duty then while simplectrl loads it says missing libraries and then shuts down.

I wanted this to work so bad, but the turn signals just freak out every time I activate them (they like strobe and then either stay on until I make a turn and they auto-cancel, or just turn off) and the ignition is very hit or miss on whether it works or not for some reason. I'm open to suggestions on things I might be doing wrong, but everything else about this plugin worked perfectly so I don't think it was my installation.

thats odd, every vehicle should have a bonnet probably a certain vehicle developer at that point but i will look into it

You probably figured it out but I believe you need to download the SimpleHUD to acces the menu OfficerMorrison talking about

Honestly man, I love your work. Simple Hud replaced Player Location Display and its a huge improvement from that mod.

First off, loving this mod so far. Very enjoyable and adds a new level of immersion.

Only thing that doesn't make sense to me, is having to hold the F key to leave the engine running.

Would it not make more sense to have it as a single press to leave running for traffic stops etc?

Long press to shut it down if you're pulling up on scene and you know you'll be away from the vehicle for a while.

Or just remove the long press altogether and shut it down with the separate engine key if required.

I use fast draw script and it clashes when holding F, as it draws the pistol every time I get out for a traffic stop.

Just a thought.
