Darker Nights 1.4

(7 reviews)

5 Screenshots

ABOUT:

If you want to have darker nights in GTAV but you don't want to use ENB or Shaders <--- these files are for you. It will change timecycle values without any graphic mods and fps drops. After installing via OIV you will experience some darkass nights! at night you will need to use searchlights, flashlights and heli assistance with searchlights in the dark. get some better immersion when you're at nightshift duty!

INSTALLATION:

1)  ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP FIRST!!!

2) Drop all (10 .xml) files located in "DN" into

     mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/timecycles

3) enjoy!

BEWARE:  This mod is for Singleplayer only! DO NOT USE MODS ONLINE OR YOU WILL GET BANNED!!!

KNOWN BUGS:  I haven't experienced this by myself but it is reported that it comes to graphic display bugs if you choose "cloudy" as weather option via trainer. I highly recommend to avoid this option until I have fixed that issue!   fixed in V1.2

V 1.1 :   edited all timecycle files for a better immersion and to fit better to daytime.

simply overwrite all my old timecycle files with the new ones.

V1.2:   reattached a missing line in clouds.xml (thanks to wakandamuzik) so the cloudy weather issue belongs to the past.

simply overwrite my old CLOUDS.XML with the new version.

V1.3:  small changes to all timecycle files.

V1.4:  bug fixing.

i don't think that you could do that via timecycle changes. visualsettings.dat and els.ini are the ones to change the look of anything about the emergency lightning.

Could contain: vehicle, land vehicle, clothing, wheel, screenshot, pc game, person, car, outdoor, nightMy Stage 2 lights spesifically become dark. They still flash, but barely visible. Its only stage 1 and 2 3 works perfectly. And its only when I get out of the car too. When Im inside it works fine. Very odd.

this has nothing to do with my files.

it's an els issue and is very easy to find out if you would have tried.

you wanna change it? get simple trainer and activate ENGINE ALWAYS RUNNING. your stage 1/2 lights still will work properly when you exit your car. you should research any problem first before adressing unharmful files to be an issue.

First off you need to relax my man. This isnt an issue with ELS, I have ALWAYS RUNNING on. Its an issue with Darker Nights. Mind you, its a very unworthy issue of anyones energy, I just posted it to see if there could be a known fix. Every other car works fine so if anything its an issue with the model. No need to be so damn hostile for no reason, I was never hostile or criticized.

i don't know what's causing this. never had any issues so it's hard for me to recreate and find a solution. i'm sorry.

First off, I would like to say that this is a great mod. Unfortunately, I believe that I have encountered the same issue that Officer Davie noticed. I have attached a screenshot showing the issue. It doesn't show up quite as well in the picture as in the game, but you can still see the "flakiness" as Officer Davie described it. The only other visual mod I have installed is Radiance V by BxBugs, so I do not know if that may be causing the problem. I figured I would share it to see if you or someone else knew what was causing it.

Thanks!

Could contain: sky, outdoor, darkness, star, space, night, night sky, person, snow, nature, winter

i'm sorry, i do not know what's causing your issues. otherwise i'd try to find a solution. since i can't recreate the issue it's impossible to work on it. i don't have much of time for modding around so i'm afraid that this plugin is already in it's final stage.

Hello again,

Thank for you your reply. I am sure whatever is causing this issue is a problem on my end, not with the mod.

Having a refraction issue.

i'm sorry it seems to happen to a few users of my mod and i don't know the reason. as mentioned before i will not be able to fix that issue since it doesn't appear to me at all.

I'm not sure if this is compatible with NvE Dark Zone. After I uninstalled the dark zone from nvE and added this in, my game went dark unable to see anything even in the daytime.

I will try to add the Dark Zone from NvE and then add this in to see what will happen. Will keep updating with the result.

i'm afraid it won't work as intented with graphic mods because it's meant to be used without having any. although i haven't tried it yet.
