EUP Outfit Converter 1.0.0

About.png.2b63c27e402fc9442d0a66d09b4354c0.png

This is a small standalone tool that allows you to convert outfits. You can turn any EUP outfit (preset or created by yourself) into the LSPDFR outfit

format and also UltimateBackup, so you can always equip the AI with the same clothes as you.

Requirements.png.af53e60306e5d8b784a3f43f700558b7.png

A Windows PC with the latest updates.
EUP/LSPDFR/UltimateBackup (at least 2 out of 3, otherwise the tool would be useless for you.)

Installation.png.90b2632931ef652b482f25893caf0617.png

  1. Extract the file wherever you want and run it.
  2. Paste in the config lines from one of the 3 outfit formats (See screenshots). Locations for those are down below.
  3. Copy the entries from the converted formats and paste them in the corresponding config file.

EUP outfits:

  •     Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\EUP\wardrobe.ini for outfits that you have created using EUP menu or
  •     Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\EUP\presetoutfits.ini to convert premade outfits

LSPDFR outfits:

  •     Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data\outfits.xml or if you are using EUP:FR (Ultimate):
  •     Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data\custom\ and then whatever agency.

UltimateBackup:

  •     Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\lspdfr\UltimateBackup\DefaultRegions.xml or
  •     Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\lspdfr\UltimateBackup\CustomRegions.xml

Disclaimer: Yes I know that VirusTotal is showing that a few (3/60) Antivirus vendors flagged it. It is obviously a false positive and I've submitted the file to all

kinds of vendors including Microsoft for a manual check. I will happily provide Cyan or LCPDFR.com staff with the source code for manual review to

prove that it is indeed safe.

If you still don't trust it for whatever reason, feel free to use Microsoft's Sandbox (comes free with Windows 10 or from the Microsoft Store) and run it

from there.

This is interesting.  Let me see if i understand this right.  For example, in Ultimate Backup you have the option to call out a Supervisor.  I want to Supervisor to come out dressed in a certain way with certain gear and stuff.  I find how I want the Super to look through EUP.  Once I have it then i have to try to figure out how to convert it to the way UB would read it.  That takes a lot of time and I think with the new EUP version some id's are different than before.  So I guess once you have the uniform done in EUP then you save it, close game, go into the EUP custom wardrobe XML or something like that where it has the id's set.  Copy/Paste into your converter and it will automatically write it out in a way LSPDFR or UB reads it.  Then copy that into the XML, whichever mod you want it in.  That's the long version of how it works?  That's cool.  In UB, you can call the type of medics where they come out in an SUV and sometimes they come out wearing tanks.  This is a medical emergency, you don't need tanks.  I know where to change the uniforms and can get how I want it in EUP but that conversion is the wall you run into.   About time someone came up with this.  Thanks Sebo!

One more thing.  How about if you want that person a Male or Female or 50/50 when they come out?  In LSPDFR there is a mp_m_freemode_01  and mp_f_freemode_01 for Male/Female.  Is there a way to do that?

Regarding the long version: Yes 😄 That was exactly the issue that I was having, there was no proper documentation or anything, and some clothing packs don't come with proper configs, or they only come with the EUP config and not with the LSPDFR/UB configs.

If you're talking about the UltimateBackup config, yes that's possible and quite easy to do, however it won't be covered by this converter. All you have to do is adjust the chance and make one line for male and one for female. If you need help with doing so you can contact me on Discord. Forgot to post links to my servers in the description here, but they're in my BodyCam plugin description.

For the LSPDFR config I assume it's similar, since there are many variations for the cops and you can set female ones there as well.

Hey man!

This is just pure awesome. If I may have a QoL suggestion: is it possible to get the outputs (especially the UB) as one line as well? That way it'd really be just a simple compy paste.

Technically yes, but that would ruin the readability of the converted lines and would probably require a redesign of the application just so you don't have to scroll endlessly to the side 😄

Also, you can copy and paste it like that.

Fair enough. Thanks for the application though, it is something we were severely missing

You're welcome 🙂 Thank you for the suggestion though, I'll keep it in mind. I'll let you know if I can come up with a nice solution for that.

I'm always open for suggestions.

I've checked before and asked around, haven't found any other tool that does this. Which one are you talking about?

What a great tool!!! Thanks so much!!

I was using another tool (EUP2UB) which however only converts from EUP to UB. That's sufficient for building and setting up UB's "SpecialUnits.xml" and all the other .xml files needed for controlling how and where specific backup units respond in game.

But for setting up the ambiently spawning units it's required to edit "agency_eup.xml" and the "outfits_<agency>_eup.xml" (the latter contains the outfits in LSPDFR format).
Means I had to do the conversion manually (so, go to PD, go to Police Locker, pick the values and then edit "outfits_<agency>_eup.xml"). That's quite time consuming and switching between game and editor all the time really sucks after a while.

I'm still far away from having all agencies set up but with the help of your awesome tool, bro, I'm sure that I will at least complete the most important ones it in a few nights.

😁 Cheers!

I love yall for this. I was pulling my hair out trying to make some sheriff motorcycle units and someone on a discord sent me to your tool. Its amazing 👏  Only thing I had to change was it converted the uniforms EUP to LSPDFR wearing headsets on "prop 2" ,that was easily (but tediously) fixed on the first test run 😀

What the heck did I just find... Man, I've literally been doing a conversion of almost all uniforms for 5 days straight just to find out there's a mod that would do it for me in a couple minutes instead. Great job and a big shout out for having the most useful mods out there.

Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying what we've been working on 🙂

Absolutely magnificent. It is clean, simple, well laid out, and doesn't require me to toggle 100 drop down boxes. It also saves so much effort. I just went through this effort for a couple of hours last night trying to figure it out solo with no real explanations. Looked around some more today and came across this. Wonderful. Very well done!

I just converted from EUP to Ultimate Backup, and for some reason it's completely mismatched. I have no idea what I did wrong but it's completely fucked

I noticed some of them don't translate correctly, might be due to being outdated

There isn't really anything about it that could be outdated, unless LSPDFR/UB made massive changes to their XML layout, which I don't think happened.

Other people have confirmed that it is still working, so maybe some copy/paste error.
