Welcome to Grammar Police!  This plugin began as a replacement for VocalDispatch but has grown into much more!

 

Speech Recognition

  • Issue commands to the dispatcher using your microphone
  • Includes a "hold to talk" feature that simulates a real radio
  • Supports StopThePed and UltimateBackup out of the box
  • Contains multiple sets of "10 codes" or customize yourself

Grammar Police 1.8

  • Restored player status display on PTT release (thanks OfficialFlipPlayz)
  • Restored the "say again" and generic response functionality
  • Restored emergency status on panic (thanks L’ère de l’a-paix)
  • Hardened radio check to prevent crash when there aren't any results
  • Adjusted timings of (non-chest) animations to look and sound more natural
  • Invalid callsigns no longer cause a failure but instead fallback to default
  • Moved speech engine handling to a separate thread to minimize UI freezes

  • Fixed bug in felony backup request where it incorrectly saw no pullover

    Microsoft has removed the interface for Windows Speech Recognition in recent versions of Windows 11.  Starting with this version of Grammar Police you will need to install Microsoft Speech Platform and the language pack you wish to use:

I installed the speech recognition and everything when in game it shows en-US but dispatch doesn't respond to me at all.

I've noticed (just a little feedback) that it runs smoother and better with the previous version (1.7.2). I followed all the steps and installed SpeechPlatformRuntime.msi and MSSpeech_SR_de-DE_TELE under Windows 11, but unfortunately, when Dispatch sends back a message, the game stutters briefly. And the radio messages I send are barely understood/transmitted. I hope you'll continue to support the older version as long as Microsoft does (if it's due to their Windows extension software). In any case, thank you for the great product!

That is a different plugin causing that,  not GP as GP has no impact on animations.  I am assuming you are using the LSPDFR menu (M key) police radio and setting the animation that way correct?

    No problem,  this will be a common issue for most that use that Dispatch mod.  You have approximately 12 seconds to respond and since 91% (poll I did) people wanted more descriptive type of callouts, it will sometimes push over that 12 seconds.  So gotta hit that Y key to accept and then interact with dispatch as you are heading over there.  Takes a bit of practice, but looks good when you get it right.

    Already figured it out on their discord, it is a cross with GP, as GP forces the handheld animation. There is no avoidance.

    Most users have reported an improvement. If you're having issues, it's either audio input or incorrect phrasing.

    on github the Russian language has become available for the mod, the Russian language only for interface or for voice commands-Callouts as well?

    Good afternoon! I managed to use your plugin in my native Italian language after modifying the folder as you advised. I was wondering if it’s possible to also implement actions for coastal callouts? For example, could I make a police boat arrive or something similar? Thanks!

    does the new update has unlimited back up? can you do  AUTO BACK UP TO? On a car stop , and  on a pursuit ,  heli support also  shot fire too

    like for a example if a suspect start shooting at you, but you don't have time  to used the radio , can you do automatic back up? also on a pursuit because you are  driving

    No, those are not features in Grammar Police, nor will they be.
