Auto Patrol - Autodrive, Real Code Driving & Intersection Siren Usage 1.2.0

This mod allows the user to autonomously drive their emergency vehicle, from normal to Code driving. I designed this mod specifically for content creators so that they can less focused on the small task of cruising on patrol and more engaged with commentary and/or live stream interaction.

Brief Description of Driving Styles:

Normal - This is the typical driving style for AI traffic.
Aggressive - Drives more aggressively with overtaking vehicles and possibly ramming.
Urgent - Kind of a hybrid of Normal and Aggressive in that some vehicles will be overtaken.
Code 2 - Based upon the common driving behaviors of Code 2 driving across the United States.
Code 2 (California style) - A specific Code 2 driving as seen and experienced in California. Through my ride along experiences, officers can only use lights and sirens when authorized. So they typically only, and briefly, use lights and sirens to clear intersections/heavy traffic. They proceed by turning off lights/siren and drive urgently to the scene.
Code 3 - The obvious driving behaviors of Code 3 driving as seen across the United States.

Make sure to put AutoPatrol.dll and AutoPatrol.ini and AutoPatrol.pdb into \Plugins\LSPDFR folder.

Make sure to have the latest version of RageNativeUI installed.

Take a look at the INI at least once to make sure you are satisfied with the settings.

Disclaimer:

This mod only functions while driving an emergency vehicle.
To disable the autodriving, you may press and hold either the Accelerate, Brake, or Exit control buttons for one second.
For usage with ELS vehicles, you need to set ElsTrfCtrlOn = false in the ELS.ini

CodeRed Callouts is not within this mod page. You need to contact the developer of that mod.

I have an idea, unsure how easy it is to script this, but is there a way to make it an option to where when it has a partner driving and you're in the passenger seat, where you still control the sirens? This would be cool for using this with like a fire truck where you are riding as an officer, and in a large percentage of departments, the officer controls the sirens and horns when responding as opposed to the driver. I love this mod, there is so much opportunity for fun and even expansion with this thing!!!!

Is it possible to make the autodrive drive faster than 45mph when in pursuit?

I have tried the 60, 80, 100 and max settings but it can't go more than 45

Could it be AI limitation?

I set it to code 3 when in pursuit

Usually suspects drive faster than 70mph specially in freeways.

Awesome!!!! Also while you're at it, (I just got the update), can you add the default firefighter and paramedic ped models as choices for the drivers also? That way there isn't a police officer driving the fire truck or ambo all the time? LOL!!!!!!! This mod actually has a lot of potential to be used with the Fire/EMS too, not just the police!!! Thanks! P.S. with the ELS concern, in 1.0.1, even in code 3 response mode, (with sitting in the driver seat of course but with autopilot on), I could still manipulate my ELS Sirens, but now in the passenger seat with autopilot on I cant, not sure what changes were applied but your answer may be in there somewhere?? c

Also side tidbit, I seem to remember back in the early 90's that the kind of mode you're referring to with Code 2 (Cali mode), that for a while the LAPD referred to it as "Code 2 High". Just going off of memory but a cool tidbit just the same. "1 Adam 12 Respond Code 2 High"...

This is a awesome update! But if you can make the driver follow you out it will make a awesome partner! Also once I get out there is no way to get back into passenger seat. I tried and it kick my partner out of the driver seat. If you can find a way to address my suggestion then this will truly be a awesome mod!

Edit: could you make it so that when you spawn a cop it actually use UB cop? So it can follow you and helping you when necessary.

It should drive faster than 45mph. Are you trying this with an AI driver or with the player driving?

In the INI, you can change the ped models. There are 8 slots (iirc) and you just put the appropriate model name in one of the slots.

I believe ELS sirens only work when the player is in the driver seat. There is no workaround for this, so you are unfortunately out of luck with operating ELS while as a passenger.

For the Code 2 High/Cali, from my experience, the default Code 2 response in the LA area is this, as compared to Code 2 in other states.

I don't plan on implementing a partner-type mod where the AI will follow you. That will require more research and development to create a competent mod.

There should be mods out there that should allow you to enter a vehicle as a passenger. Maybe something like this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/passenger-mod-0x7

Sorry, disregard my previous issue, The autodrive can easily reach up to 110 mph if the traffic is good it was a problem at my end.

Which driving mode do you think is best for pursuits?

The Code 3 option. You would probably have to uncheck Respect Intersections option though.
