February 2026: Michael21107 has kindly volunteered to update this plugin and keep it working for people, as I am currently not active in the LSPDFR modding scene. He's hardly a coder, so please feel free to contribute to the project by opening pull requests and issues on the GitHub repository. Bug reports and suggestions may also be sent via comments here, but must NOT be sent via reviews.

To the best of my knowledge, this plugin remains functional as is. Unfortunately, without a working game and no time to code anymore, I can no longer support my developed plugins. All my code is available on GitHub if people want to steal/update the plugins themselves. As expected with such a long development pause, this plugin wasn't tested on GTA V Enhanced, so please report any issues with that as well.

Common problems:
1. It is not pulling the car over:

This mod does not start the pullover process. You need to pull the vehicle over with LSPDFR first.
2. Number pad not working:
Ensure Numlock is on, or the numpad will not work.
3. Pullover gets cancelled:
This is usually caused by a conflicting keybinding, for example, left shift. Check your keybinding settings.

4. Mimic Me causes the driver to crash when I stop the mimic feature

Yeah - that annoyed me too, but I never managed to find what in the code was causing it. Sorry.

Even though many plugins have superseded Traffic Policer in various ways, Custom Pullover remains the only plugin that maintains this feature.

Custom Pullover allows just that. Once the suspect comes to a stop, you can then select from 3 options using your hot keys:

  • Mimic me: The car movements will mimic the movements made by your vehicle

  • Follow me: Pull in front, and the suspect will follow you to a new location

  • Custom location: Use the number keys (or what you set in the INI file) to choose a point in front for the suspect to move to

While I did this just for myself, to make my LSPDFR experience a little better, some friends have asked for a copy. So, with Albo1125's blessing, I release this here for anyone not using Traffic Policer and missing this feature to use as well.

The code is also released on GitHub as the original code open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (and all I did was pull it together, re-package, and test).

Github: https://github.com/waynieoaks/LSPDFR-Custom-Pullover

Traffic Policer on Github: https://github.com/Albo1125/Traffic-Policer

Installation:

  1. Copy the .dll and .ini files into your /plugins/LSPDFR/ folder

  2. Edit keybindings in the .ini to your requirements

What's New in Version 1.1.0.1

Released

Nothing exciting... Minor code refactored and removal of unused references.

** If upgrading, just replace "dll" file with new version **

Short Description

Change pullover location as required

Any chance of pulling the British Persona out of the British Policing Script?

Hi there,
I just started using this mod and I'm experiencing trouble with traffic stops. I currently use BejoIjo's Stop the Ped, Ultimate Backup and CompuLite amongst other plugins such as ALPRLite and Automatic Siren Cutout. It seems that when I attempt to stop someone and set a custom location, they do stop but after a couple of seconds pass they drive off again and the traffic stop unofficially cancels itself. I say unofficially of course because the mods still recognise a traffic stop taking place, but the AI has driven off and headed back into traffic as normal.

I was just wondering if it would be possible to determine what might be causing this issue and if it has been experienced by other players. I understand this mod hasn't been updated for a few months, but I really would like to use the custom location feature because the AI is truly dreadful at stopping in decent locations. Thanks.

Really confused. This looks like a Rip off Albos mod. You use default police cars, not too impressed honestly. You hit the car when you backed up into it also. I am gonna keep using Albos.

this is  a updated version for the custom pullover

Albos plugins are out of date and reduce performance...

I can try and have a look when I get some time  but you give me way too much credit on my coding ability. Have you checked the GitHub to see if others have been maintaining it at all?

The only time I have seen this is when there was a key binding conflict - but it doesn't sound like that since the traffic stop stays with them driving away. Could be the code releasing the vehicle somehow. Can you DM me a list of your plugins, maybe how you have your .ini file set up and I will try to have a look - but nobody else has reported it? Is it every time, just sometimes?

Thanks for getting back to me, I believe the cause was another plugin called "AutomaticSirenCutout", and I recently noticed the author posted a new patch including a fix for "pulled-over vehicles driving away after stopping", so I'll give this mod another try and see what happens.

Yep, traffic stops are functioning as intended with this plugin, which has been very useful to me. Thank you again, it seems the other plugin was definitely the problem here.

Nothing to be sorry about 🙂 Glad you found the problem. I obviously hadn't noticed as although I have the same plugins you listed I had been re-building my install the last month or two...

Hiya, yeah I took a good look at it myself but it seems the british persona is linked to LSPDFR+ ect so its quite a diffucilt one to pull out 🙂

Thanks anyway

The reason that this was made is because most of Traffic Policer's functions like breathalyzer and drug swab are now used in mods like Stop The Ped. There are also many speed radar and ALPR mods that replace traffic policer like realistic speed radar and ALPR Lite. Only reason to keep traffic policer is Smartradio, but mods like CompuLite, Ultimate Backup, and Rich's Police Enhancement even replace that. This just brings the mimicking without all of the other controls of traffic policer.

Also, some of Albo's mods impact FPS for certain players.

I agree, also Most of albo's mods are out of date and can start to cause problems to lspdfr and you game which is why they are advised not to be used or used at the user cost.

numpad doesnt work for the custom location, anyone else have the same issue?

Hi @Doctor420,

Number pad works for me for Custom Pullover and I also use it for the spotlight mod.

In the .ini - I have it like this:

PositionRightKey=NumPad6
PositionResetKey=NumPad5
PositionLeftKey=NumPad4
PositionForwardKey=NumPad8
PositionBackwardKey=NumPad2
PositionDownKey=NumPad3
PositionUpKey=NumPad9

Is it the same for you? Do you have a modifier key set as well?

CustomPulloverLocationModifierKey=ControlKey

In which case it would be Ctrl + the number key to work.

I personally have set my modifier to None so I do not need to hold a modifier key.

Also may be worth checking if the Num Lock key is set to on or off as this affects it and do the keys work correctly outside the game - e.g. in Notepad?

Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.

So when ever you trigger the mimic function, sometimes it cancels the mimic and I need to restart the game for it to go away. Anyone know of any other plugin that causes this or is that just a random bug?

Hi @PenOkOh,

I have never heard of this. Could it be conflicting with another keybinding or another mod?

Try changing the keybinding and seeing if you still have issues.

Does any errors or anything show in the ragepluginhook.log when this happens?

I changed it to Ctrl + S since it's such a fast key that it wont conflict with something else. It also happened with the default keys you set. Weirdly enough it doesn't happen a lot but once it does it creates frustration. I recall the same thing with Traffic Policer way back when I used it too... But I will take note of the console the next time it happens and provide the log for you. Thanks!

Hi @PenOkOh

A log may help. I am afraid as this is basically the code from Traffic Policer then the problem may have carried over from when you used it there too...
Hopefully a log will help when you do see it. If I can find the cause, I will try to fix it.

That said, I am no way as good as the original author 🙂

Many thanks.

Can you remove Custom Pullover and see if you still have the issue?
Could you post your Rage Plugin Hook Log so we can see what could be causing the crash?

Many thanks.

Yeah I fixed the issue. Took some "triple checking" as I had some disturbed lines in config files, was a user error for sure. Sorry.

Hi

Without a RagePluginHook.log there is not much I can look at to help.

Can you remove Custom Pullover and see if your game still crashes?

Can you send your RagePluginHook.log file

Can you provide some more information:

- For example - is it just Custom Pullover that crashes?

- Does it cause LSPDFR to crash?

- Does it crash to desktop?
