February 2026: Michael21107 has kindly volunteered to update this plugin and keep it working for people, as I am currently not active in the LSPDFR modding scene. He's hardly a coder, so please feel free to contribute to the project by opening pull requests and issues on the GitHub repository. Bug reports and suggestions may also be sent via comments here, but must NOT be sent via reviews.

To the best of my knowledge, this plugin remains functional as is. Unfortunately, without a working game and no time to code anymore, I can no longer support my developed plugins. All my code is available on GitHub if people want to steal/update the plugins themselves. As expected with such a long development pause, this plugin wasn't tested on GTA V Enhanced, so please report any issues with that as well.

 

Common problems: 
1. It is not pulling the car over:
This mod does not start the pullover process. You need to pull the vehicle over with LSPDFR first.
2. Number pad not working:
Ensure Numlock is on, or the numpad will not work.
3. Pullover gets cancelled:
This is usually caused by a conflicting keybinding, for example, left shift. Check your keybinding settings.

4. Mimic Me causes the driver to crash when I stop the mimic feature

Yeah - that annoyed me too, but I never managed to find what in the code was causing it. Sorry. 

 

Even though many plugins have superseded Traffic Policer in various ways, Custom Pullover remains the only plugin that maintains this feature.

 

Custom Pullover allows just that. Once the suspect comes to a stop, you can then select from 3 options using your hot keys: 

  • Mimic me: The car movements will mimic the movements made by your vehicle

  • Follow me: Pull in front, and the suspect will follow you to a new location

  • Custom location: Use the number keys (or what you set in the INI file) to choose a point in front for the suspect to move to

 

While I did this just for myself, to make my LSPDFR experience a little better, some friends have asked for a copy. So, with Albo1125's blessing, I release this here for anyone not using Traffic Policer and missing this feature to use as well. 

 

The code is also released on GitHub as the original code open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (and all I did was pull it together, re-package, and test).

Installation:

  1. Copy the .dll and .ini files into your /plugins/LSPDFR/ folder

  2. Edit keybindings in the .ini to your requirements

Hi Nick, 

 

This script only gives the custom pullovers feature, if you are no longer using Albo's scripts. If you are using Smart Radio, I believe you will still need Traffic Policer so this script will not help. The radio will still need Traffic Policer to work I believe.

    I have not got Traffic Policer installed in my current game, and still have Stop the Ped as well as the other mods by Bejoijo.  

    I believe those requirements were removed from his scripts a while back. You can get his latest mods here: https://bejoijo256.wixsite.com/bejoijo

    I was gonna mention that, I like that he included the pullover, but I’m I’ll have to put traffic policer back in due to me liking the radar. You can go and vote it out on Bejelio discord maybe he will eventually add it.

    Not really. The code is open source for a reason. I originally did this just for me, myself and I. But after others asked for a copy, I thought I would share with anyone that wanted it. To give back to this wonderful community I have benefited from for many years. I even checked with the original author before doing so. 


    I don't see the point, Traffic Policer has this feature and still works, so why do this?

    Yes, Traffic Policer does still work, but not everybody uses it. There are several mods that exist now with similar features and some people use these rather than Traffic Policer.

    Different people use different mods to get a different experience in the game to suit the individual.

    There are many mods out there for GTA and LSPDFR, some of which I don't see the point of, or are not of any use to me - but if they benefit someone (even just benefiting the author at getting better at their coding) then the mod has a purpose in the world. 

     

     

    What about Smart Radio?

    Smart Radio needs Traffic Policer, if you want to use Smart Radio you will need to use Traffic Policer and not this mod. I did consider forking the Smart Radio code and seeing if I could make a "stand alone" version but even if I sought the blessing of the current authors I wouldn't want to anger the community.

    Not a question, but yes I know. My driving does suck. I learned from the best AI cops in Sandy Shores. My YouTube channel does not have any videos (yet), but is called "Wayne Plays Badly" for a reason. (To ease concerns, you will be pleased to know that in real life, my driving is a bit better; I was an IHCD D2 Emergency Response Driver in the UK (NHS) - but medically retired 7 years ago and now work in IT).

    I would love to, but probably not - for many reasons:

    1. I don't want this mod to become a toolbox of features, or complicated or bloated which could make it buggy or laggy. 
    2. There are other mods that do the whole toolbox thing well already, including Traffic Policer, Stop the Ped and many more. 
    3. Like my driving, my coding sucks too. LSPDFR is a hobby to me, coding is fun too but I don't have nearly as much skill as the rest of this community (or time to dedicate). I may learn more and try more modding (with my own code) in the future, but right now my skills are best placed with testing, debugging and refactoring code.

    There are so many great mods out there, so coming up with ideas that have not already been done can be difficult. Also, did you read about how bad my coding is?

    I thought about things like a pocket notebook (Already in Computer+ if you use that mod) to take notes for when I fill out the arrest report, maybe some medical callouts as i have some real life experience I can bring there.

    I really liked an idea from a (now outdated) mod called 'Police Life S' - would love to get something like that again to add more realism to the game. It added shift work (complete a shift to get a pay check), rank system using experience points, gas tank (fuel mods do this now, I know), hunger system (go spend your pay check on doughnuts) that would be a pretty good mod I think.

    i don't know if it's just me but smart radio just kills lspdfr every time.

    Edit: Actually, Smartradio won't work without Traffic Policer, but CompuLite does better plate checks. Ultimate Backup has a panic button, and some mods add in a better PIT feature like Rich's Police Enhancements.

     

    Yep Westcoaster speaks the truth here.  It will free up a lot of FPS as well.

    Hint, if you don't think you need it then don't download it? And if you think he's just ripping Albo off, well it's open source and he's certainly not doing 1 minor edit and reuploading, he's taken 1 piece of the puzzle that all of us are missing and released it without having to drop FPS

    Thats your els setting. Go to the main directory n look for ELS config n set to false AI traffic control.

    Albo has retired  from LSPDFR modding. Most of the features are in other plugins like Stop The Ped,  Ultimate Backup, and this. However, no one created a smartradio clone, yet.

    This is just taken a part of Albo's mod and re-uploaded on your own.

     

    We're expecting to see some improvements or new features based on the old plugin, since it's open source.

    lol well you seem to forget that traffic policer is extremely broken and a lot if not most people cant even get it to work, like due to the reason that it was basically abandoned, no one is stopping you from using a broken mess and its also unneeded to have a mod with a fck ton of features if most of them have already been replaced with much better other mods, it also causes some really heavy fps drops for most likely features you are gonna have disabled either way

    Why after I press ctrl+R so the driver stop mimic me,  the driver just go away .... and go in a straight line until crash into something...

    But the cones sometimes fail as vehicles try to drive over them and become stuck, I think he needs to do an update to include the option to select either larger cones or barriers!
