Requirements:

 

  • Traffic Policer
  • (Optional) Darkmyre's Search Warrant or Stop The Ped

 

Features

 

  • Ped Observation
    • Get observations for any ped
      • Automatic traffic stop observations for all occupants
      • Gets status of ped including mood, behavior, and signs of intoxication
  • [NEW] Lite Menu Based Computer System
    • Run record checks, issue citations, summons, and create arrest reports with the new computer system
    • Fully integrated with the rest of this plugin
    • Customizable XML files for charges and citations
      • IMPORTANT! Do not edit/add any new main root entries (eg direct descendants of the "Main" root). They will not be recognized by my plugin
        • You can only add/edit entries under these roots with the "Charge" name
  • Traffic Stop Questions
    • [NEW] Traffic stop questioning menu, replaces default LSPDFR+ one
      • To use, approach a car on a traffic stop and press the interaction key (default "Y") to open the menu
      • You can:
        • Ask the driver for their license and proof of insurance
          • If the driver has no license, a suspended license, or warrants, there is a chance they will refuse to identify themselves to you, which is arrestable.
        • Ask for passenger's identification
        • Tell the driver the reason for pulling them over (27 default reasons so far, just comment any more ideas you have and I will try to add them)
        • Ask general questions:
          • "Where are you headed?"
          • "Where are you coming from?"
          • "Is the address on your license current?"
          • "Do you own this vehicle?"
          • "How do you know the passenger(s)?"
        • Ask questions related to crime:
          • "Have you been drinking recently?"
          • "Have you you used any drugs recently?
          • "Is there anything illegal in the car?"
          • "Can I search your vehicle?"
        • Most question's answers will depend on the ped's mood/intoxication level
        • 210+ lines of mostly unique dialog
        • Any more ideas for questioning should be added in the comments!
    • [NEW] Issue warnings, citations, and summons with the new computer system
    • [NEW] Can now order occupants out of the vehicle
  • Field Sobriety Tests
  • Evidence
    • Store any evidence you find in any police vehicle
    • View stored evidence
    • Drop off stored evidence at any police station, marked by a "stash" icon on the map (pot leaf blip next to police stations)
  • Field Narcotics Test Kits
    • Narcotics stored in your evidence can be tested using reagent test kits in your trunk
      • Positive tests are automatically stored in evidence
      • Automatically recognizes when you store drugs in evidence and makes them available for testing
        • Drugs are not always what they seem, e.g. sometimes what you think is meth will turn out to be PCP or cocaine
      • If you use one of the custom XML files, these phrases are currently recognized by evidence storage as able to be tested:
        • "white powder"
        • "tan" or "brown powder"
        • "blotter paper"
        • "crystal" or "crystals"
        • "unmarked pills"
    • 5 different tests, based on real life counterparts (all information based on products from: http://www.sirchie.com/forensics/narcotics-investigation/pouches.html)
      • Marquis Reagent (meth, heroin, morphine, MDMA)
      • Scott Reagent (cocaine/crack)
      • Fentanyl Reagent (Fentanyl)
      • Phencyclidine Reagent (PCP)
      • Ehrlich's Reagent (LSD)
    • Custom narcotics.xml for DarkMyre's Search Warrant and PoliceSearch adds more options for unidentified drugs such as: "white powder", "suspicious crystals", etc
  • Automatic Pursuit Updates
    • When in a pursuit, will automatically give information on the speed and direction that the suspect vehicle is heading.
    • Also gives details on traffic condition such as light, medium, or heavy (togglable)
  • [NEW] Integrated Lite Court System
    • Upon creating an arrest report, a court case will automatically be generated for the arrest
    • There is a customizable amount of time between the arrest date and court date in the .ini file
    • Active court cases options
      • View name, charges, court date, and force early case hearing
    • Past court cases options
      • View name, charges, sentence, and delete one or all entries
    • Sentences depend on severity and amount of charges
    • [!!!IMPORTANT!!!] Due to the new court system, the XML structure of the Charges.xml has changed, adding a new attribute called "life" to every charge. If life is set to true, that charge can carry a life sentence.
      • You must update old customized XML files to include this attribute for every charge or use the new ones provided, otherwise the game will crash
    • [Coming Soon] Evidence system integration

 

Known Bugs:

  • Sometimes arrested peds will leave the backseat of your vehicle and try to drive away. No known fix but to grab them and put them back in the vehicle. Probably a plugin interaction.
    • Have not had happen to me in a while, please report for v2.2.1 if you encounter. Possibly fixed


Installation:

  1. Copy the "Plugins" folder to your main GTA V directory.
  2. Pick an XML to use depending on what search plugin you have for added realism! (not required)
  3. Enjoy!

 

Don't know what else to put here, just let me know if you find any bugs or if anything is unclear and I will try to fix it. Been a long road of development, thank you to everyone who has helped me on the way!

Can you give me an example of what you type? The script automatically searches what you enter for drug keywords and then makes those items available for testing, such as strings containing the words "meth", "heroin", etc. Have you gotten it to work before?

Started having issues at 47:26 of this video.

 

It's worked for me before but recently it has not.  Also sometimes the default keyboard comes up when entering eveidence sometimes as you can not see it in the video because I guess OBS does not record it.  When the video freezes the keyboard comes up then once I enter the eveidence it goes back to the game.  Only sometimes does the Interaction "Black text box" come up for me.  Yes it's worked for me before.

Ah I see, currently there are no tests included in this plugin that test for weed as it's usually recognized by look/smell. I'm not sure about OBS not picking up the textbox, I'll try to play around with the timing of the popup and see if that fixes it in the next release, it's a weird native function

i have a problem with this causing lspdfr to crash (not to desktop, just ingame) everything works fine untill i do a traffic stop, it crashes and i get this message in prh console: ''Interaction+ excpetion in traffic stop module''

Please post your RagePluginHook.log with the crash, you probably don't have Traffic Policer or SearchWarrant (optional) installed correctly

    @Phaxol FInally got around to using this, nice and neat! One issue could use fixing, though: when using the computer with a gamepad, LSPDFR catches the selection button press and cancels the traffic stop.

    I would cancel the stops constantly by accident, I just started forcing myself to use the keyboard until I got used to it. Nothing worse than hitting a or x on the controller and they pull off lol.

    Hi, I am having the exact same problem. Its not every single traffic stop though, just sometimes. Here is my log file, I closed the game immediately after LSPDFR crashed in the game.

    Please read the top of the file under "Common Crash Fixes". You do not have DarkAPI installed which is required for SearchWarrant to work if you chose to use it.

    Probably dumb question but I can't get the Lite Menu Computer Station to show up in a Police bike, anyone know how to fix this? I get the popup of being able to open it, but can't, it works perfectly fine in other police vehicles. I'm guessing its probably some kind of meta edit to get Interaction+ to recognize it. 

     

     

    **edit** nevermind, found the solution, apparently I need to press Ctrl + Shift + H when on a motorbike, (even though Ctrl + H works in every other vehicle and is the only way its setup in the INI file)

    You can or you can't bring up the menu? The menu should work with any ped model. If you are asking to disable it for certain models, that can't be done efficiently since everyone uses different models in different slots.

    Hi @Phaxol, it would be wonderful if you could make it so that when you're typing something in the black box(Evidence etc), it doesn't open up menu's such as the backup menu when pressing B etc.

    I have a problem,and this happens with stop the ped too,after i put a question like do you know why i pulled you over?And after i tell him the reason i dont see the text anymore if i ask him anything else,even if i pull over another vehicle i still cant see the text anymore,even in callouts,i dont know what to do!

    I will look into a fix for this, in the preliminary testing when I was working with the menu native I spent a lot of time trying to prevent that but it seems it didn't work.

    Sounds like a problem with your game if it is affecting all plugins. I would ask for help here, they can give you better support:

    Okay first, beautiful job. I love it and I'm pretty certain every one loves it! Thank you for this. But for me, everytime I release someone from custody and take the handcuffs off my LSPDFR crashes. It could be my end but I though I may as well go ahead and ask.

    Please post your RagePluginHook.log file containing the crash. This does not look like it is caused by my plugin, this error usually happens when something else causes LSPDFR to crash which in turn causes my plugin to crash since the it depends on LSPDFR to work.

    As of right now no, mostly due to the fact I don't use/have a controller that I play with so it is a little limiting. I will try to borrow one of roommate's  controllers over spring break/when 0.4 drops and look into adding support
