XScanner is an LSPDFR Scanner replacement/addon.

 

Features:

 

  • Full XAudio2 support.
  • Multiple output device support, play background scanner on one device and police scanner on another.
  • Multiple audio emitters to choose from; player, player vehicle, police vehicles.
  • Customizable distortion effects for the police scanner.
  • LSPDFR relay.
  • Broadcast quick selection.
  • Broadcast presets; Top50, Newest Streams, Official Streams, Manual stream input, search for streams.
  • Supports all known audio formats, and then some.
  • Police Scanner playback (frontend and 3d).

There is the possibility of editing the ini manually, but I do not recommend it due to the complexity of this plugin.
Everything can be changed through the menu (default: F8)
If you already have something bound to F8 you can either:

 

  • change the menu key through the consolecommand
    SetXScannerMenuKey
  • manually open the menu through the consolecommand and change the menu key from within the menu.
    OpenXScannerMenu

 

 

Installation: Place files from the "Grand Theft Auto V" folder into your game installation folder.

Fix:

  • updated hook scanner
  • fixed streams 403-ing due to changes on broadcastify's end and showing up as down.
  • fixed landmarks not properly being used


Changes:

  • Folders under GTAV\LSPDFR\SCANNER are no longer selectable as the Preferred Audio Folder from the menu,
    as this folder is generally a bigger mess than your grandmothers random trash drawer.
    Use folders in GTAV\PLUGINS\LSPDFR\XSCANNER\Audio instead, which will still show up in the menu.
    You can still set the folder to GTAV\LSPDFR\SCANNER itself however.
    This will NOT break any dispatch replacements.
  • changed normalization divider to 32768 instead of 32767

Can the audio be fixed and not affect regular dispatch? I see I'm having the same issue as others where normal dispatch is no longer speaking after so long. Yes, restarting the game fixes the issue but then it starts right back where dispatch is not reading the callouts. I also have it disabled to read during callouts and it still does...

Please upload your logs when you have an issue as I cannot smell what is going on, or preferably come to the support channel on my discord. I need:

 

GtaFolder\RagePluginHook.log

GtaFolder\Plugins\LSPDFR\XScanner\Log\DebugLog.log

 

I'm not aware of any issues with the police scanner at the moment, there might been an issue I've ran into with the background scanner when using local mode, but I'm not sure if this is just in my development build or the actual release build. Will have to verify later today. It is possible this is affecting both.

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it to be honest.  I don't mind the feature you already have in there for skip ads.  No reason to add more to the plugin and it would ultimately confuse certain people.

What happened to Broadcast Regions? Doesnt work for me anymore and I have no options in the in-game menu to enable it. It is already enabled in the config

It is not in the current version because it was too much of a hassle to implement and I don't think many people used it, might add it back in the future.

Damn, I loved using it. Maybe in the future add some functionality into it so instead of counties, its areas. Great mod btw

There is no ini file in this update is there? I did not see one. I had to delete the previous version because my game kept crashing when i go into pursuits

there is never an ini file included, it is generated on load

I had a really hard time today because of the mod you made.
I formatted today and downloaded all the new files,
but the LSPDFR.dll error kept coming up, so I tried various methods, but it didn't work, so the most recently updated plugin was your mod, so I rolled back to the previous version and it worked without any problems.
I appreciate your hard work, but I hope you find the error again, fix it, and update it. Winter is coming, so be careful not to catch a cold and I hope you always have good things happen to you. Until it's fixed, I'll have to use the previous version.

Just updated files for both mods.  I load in go on duty and try to talk with dispatch and I crash.  Removed both mods from my game and go on duty and talk to dispatch and no crashes...

Unfortunately, that is the case.  Once I removed all the files it worked with no crashes.  I was going to put them back in and see if it does it again which i have not done yet since I got home late, but it did happen yesterday though....

so reason every time i go in pursuit and call for transport my game crash every time, it a cool mod but it got a lot of troubles and fix bad.

Background scanner doesn't work for me. I hear an initial audio when in the vehicle selection menu of LSPDFR and then don't hear anything else again
