Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

The error happens because you added the new AdvancedHookV.dll. With the current version, you don’t need it anymore. Just keep the original AdvancedHookV.dll and the game will run fine.

Love the mod, use it all the time it's a game changer except recently I've had an issue where the light bars don't activate just the head and tail lights, I've reinstalled the mod and it's dependencies, reinstalled the vehicle models and XMLs, and checked the diffuseTint setting.

Is there a way to leave the vehicle turned off and the ELS lights on?

So I'm having a problem with ELS. I've installed LSPDFR with ELS before and there were no problems. I just got a brand new pc so I'm downloading it again and everything has went well except that my lights won't turn on for els. I came to the comments originally and thought that maybe I did the xml files wrong because I did change some stuff. So I downloaded a brand new pack (not even from the same creator) and didn't change a single file name, kept everything in it's original name. Put the xml files in the els folder inside pack_default and loaded up the game and still nothing. I checked the controls that the creator left in a file and tried to get it and still nothing. Looked around in certain keybinds to see if it was interfering and nothing there. I never had a problem with els before so this whole thing is frustrating and weird. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

For now, without further investigation, I could ask two things. First, do you not see the lights, or do you also not hear any interaction from the commands? If you just don't see them, it's probably just a matter of your graphics settings. Second, the current version comes with a file called AdvancedHookV.dll. I know that the current version of GTA5 does not require it. If this is the case and you have placed it in the game's root directory along with the other files, I suggest deleting it. I hope this helps.

Im having the same problem, have tried everything from downloading updated versions of everything to changing packs and nothing. Only the original sirens work

You need to change your siren sounds yourself, ELS does not do that.

    I haven't been able to get my game to load into story mode. Fresh install of everything, followed some tutorials to get there and I can select Story Mode but before loading in I get black screened and the game won't boot. I isolated the issue to the ELS.asi and AdvancedHookV.dll files, does there need to be an update to them because of the new GTA DLC? Or it is just a me issue. Love to hear back from someone more educated then me, thanks!

    I was able to get the control panel to show up by completely deleting the updated version of ELS and installing v1.00. Ctrl+P then worked to bring up the control panel. The updated version simply would not work for me. Hope that helps.

    Hello everyone, there is a problem. The els menu is working, but the flashing lights are not. I tried to install different packages of machines, but the lights did not appear, the graphics settings are medium and high.
