Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

this is causing my game to crash. if i use the advancedhook.dll file included in the 1.5 download, then the els.asi crashes and i cant use it, but if i use the updated advancedhook.dll, my entire game crashes when trying to load into story mode. this has never happened before and i don't know why im getting problems now.

    There is a problem with the files advancedhookv . Please update the files.

    nevermind, i figured it out. a few of the els xmls for my vehicles were causing the crashes. replaced them and it's working fine now

    Okay I'm officially stuck, I keep getting this "A code exception occurred while executing els.asi" error from script hook v, all the important stuff is updated, SHV; RPH, LSPDFR. Everything works normally just my ELS is broken, I can't figure out what is causing this error. 

    I should also note that I have open interiors installed and script hook gives me a code exception error for that, so maybe its something on the script hook side? 

    Any help or insight is appreciated, I recently just started playing LSPDFR again, after a little while but it hasn't been long enough to break everything, literally everything updated fine and is working with the exception to script hook and open interiors which I don't care about the interiors. Thanks in advance

    Your first issue is what i experience now - are you able to send an xml you have... i only have the default POLICE.xml but still not fixing any of my issues

    @AlexYaga Just fixed my game. Make sure you have the "updated" AdvancedHookV (the one packaged separately from ELS itself) and the ScriptHookV alpha ui version (on the script hook v site it says "Download ui build | Download (alpha)"). That got me back up and running with ELS!

    yea discovered it while tinkering, now I got more issues and the game crashes anyway 🙂

    So after a week of having ELS crashing my game or ELS just not working, I found the solution. (I'm talking about the "A code exception occurred while executing els.asi" thing.

     

    For context, I'm using the LAPD Mega Pack by Tactical Donut.

    - Use the AdvanceHookV that is separately given (The 3528 one.)

     

    - (Part of the modpack installation I'm using) **Not sure if this affected anything** But download gameconfig.xml from the lcpdfr website (build 3258) and use the latest folder one in the actual download.

     

    Besides that, I tried updating some files that were outdated and it worked. If this fails for you guys then I'm sorry but I tried my best to help.

    Those newly added police vic's R* added alongside ELS, is making those vic's lightbars.. float with the actual pieces idk how else to describe lol. Any fixs?

    pretty sure there's an updated to advancedhook you need to install. Can't remember where to find it, but you should start there.

    Click on the ELS Below. Once in the ELS link, hit the Download Button then choose the AdvancedHookV_b3258.zip option.

    Jesus . Im closer. Reinstall all. Panel start showing. But just back lights work in car. The mode changes but work only back lights.
