Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.

− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

That is just a notifier.  It's always there.

 

While it is technically *true* it's not always the VCF file's fault.

 

The problem can also be caused by a VCF file tied to a non-ELS or improperly configured ELS vehicle.  If you have a bunch of VCF's, try removing all of them and see if the game launches.  If it succeeds, re add one VCF at a time until you find the culprit - unless you can sort out for yourself which vehicle is non-ELS compatible.

I need help.  I reinstalled my game, then RageHook, LSPDFR, and now ELS, but ELS will not work.  I installed an ELS police car I used to use with ELS, but it still won't work.  I've run Albo's troubleshooter, and it found no errors.

 

Edit: Nevermind -- I had RageHook, but forgot to reinstall scripthook.

anyone else having a problem with no sirens? lights work fine but my sirens aren't working in game for ELS vehicles.

Hi, I have an issue with my lighting. Everything works perfectly as intended when I am inside my vehicle. However, when I am outside of the vehicle the lights become extremely dim to the point where you can't see them if I am on anything other than Stage 3 or full lighting. I use RadianceV and as I stated when I am inside the vehicle, all lighting stages work as intended, it's only when I exit the vehicle with Stage 1 or 2 lighting. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

I am currently going through the same. I have tried reinstalling the mod, trying different cars (of course ELS enabled), different keybind settings and nothing. It just isn't working in general, not even the panel opens.

After getting the ELS lights to show I cannot get them brighter, Yes my post fx is on ultra and the shader quality as well. Not only that I have upped the number on Visualsettings.dat using OpenIV and still no luck the lights are still dim as they were any suggestions.

Also tried RadianceV to see if that would work and no that did not change it at all.

I must be doing something wrong here. ELS does not work with my ELS based vehicle? New to the whole modding thing, so I feel like I did something wrong. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Wow, 62 pages of comments/support as of right now. It's been a long while since I've been on here haha. Maybe this is just me being too optimistic/delusional, but I seriously pray that ELS gets an update when 0.4 comes out. I realize it probably won't happen, but it would be Christmas in July (or whenever 0.4 gets released)

hey everyone!

 

I just started getting into lspdfr and i'm trying really hard to get ELS to work but no dice. I followed all the steps, guides, youtube tutorials and i just cant seem to get it to work. I'm using ELS 1.05 with an ELS compatible vehicle. scr lck works just fine as I get the "warning ELS keys locked" prompt in the bottom corner, but when I try to bring up the menu or use any of the buttons with ELS, nothing happens. I've looked at various sites and I'm completely stumped.

I am having an issue with the ELS mod. All sirens are stuck on whenever I get into a vehicle, not flashing, just stuck on. Also I cannot open the CTRL+P menu even with scroll lock on/off.

I was wondering what the WW meant on the control board. When i go to stage three for my lights the back lights turn off and the WW box lights up. Does this mean wig wag's? I looked up the controls to see if turning it off would work but couldnt find the symbol for it. Does anyone know what toggles this feature on and off?

The WW does stand for wig wags and the pattern can be changed in stage 3 by pressing Alt+1

thanks it worked jb431. Its only working for the headlights. I remember the taillights working as well but they turn off when im in stage 3 still. Is there anything in the els ini that can turn them on?

I believe Alt+1 is wig wags Alt+2 is tail lights +3 is front indicator +4 is rear indicator ans +5 is the reverse lights

I have the same issue! I even made a help Topic to see if someone knows about the problem yet no one has answered. It must have been the new OpenIV update, that's when I first started getting problems.

Have you maybe changed some of the keybindings that are overriding the ELS controls?

Why the lights of the lightbar on the roof of the vehicle are White? and the ones on te back and rear part of the vehicle are red and blue, why is this happening? i tryed installing some visuals but still the same, also i have my post FX ultra

ELS vehicles haven't worked since the new openIV update, anyone else? J 3 times turns on the wig wags in front and taillights but no lightbars or interiors.
