Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

I need help like really bad...? For some reason I can't get my ELS  menu to show up I tried everything. Like deleting it reinstalled it. and also uninstalled reinstalled the As manager thing are whatever it's called. nothing I tried work and every other mod I did by myself and their working just fine so I'm a bit confused as to why won't this mod work for me...!

    If you don't plan to update this anymore, it would be great if you would open source it so the community can fork it.  For example, it would be great if we could try to get a way for AI to use lights without sirens.

    What we really need is access to more audio strings so not every vehicle has to have the same sirens.  What is the process for trying to figure out the audio strings?  Maybe some of us can help.

    Right, so everytime I download and launch ELS in game, it works but it's delayed. It makes the game freeze whenever turning on the 3 light stages, as well as sounding the siren. Game frezzes and the ELS button click sound is delayed by 10-15 seconds.

    ELS stopped working for me today all of a sudden.  None of the lights work on any car except for the cruise lights and flashing tail lights on the 3rd stage.  I tried reinstalling everything...ELS, car packs, scripthookV, nothing works.  Any ideas?

    Everything worked fine yesterday...

    Well I experienced the same. Stage 1,2,3 don't work. Independent SEC & WRN don't work. But CRS and Takedown work as usual. Is this widespread? What's happening?

    All of a sudden, the AI drivers in my game will no longer yield to my lights and sirens. In addition, whenever I use my manual/air horn siren behind any vehicle (blipped or not) they just floor it until they hit something (they used to just pull out of the way). Lastly, I've noticed the AI police cars never have their lights/siren on  when they are involved in random pursuits, responding, backup, etc. even though they used to.

     

     Yes, I have read that setting the "ElsTrafCtrlOn = true" to "ElsTrafCtrlOn = false" should work but the AI vehicles still wont pull over for me even when blipped for a traffic stop. I have also reinstalled ELS and my VCF's and nothing has changed.

     

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!  :wacko:

    is there a specific direction you need the takedown corona to face to shine forward, for some reason my takedown corona keeps shining behind the vehicle

    ELS needs an update so bad,  when im in a pursuit and i change my siren or even use the horn behind any car the car just keeps driving forward in a very high speed until it crashes into something.  This also happens in traffic stops.  We need an update for the bugs.

    is Lt.Caine dead?  He last visited lspdfr on june of 2016.  i hope he's alright.

    Try going to ELS.ini and changing the setting ElsTrafCtrlOn = true to ElsTrafCtrlOn = false

    I need a fix other than this one cause turning off ELSTrafCtrl will ruin the experience, i think ELS needs an update.

    Yes, this has been a known bug since it's release. The only fix that has been found is to disable the setting.

    My air horn is stuck on for some reason. Every time i enter an ELS enabled vehicle the air horn sounds and i cant turn it off.

    It happens every time I enter an ELS enabled vehicle.  It has never happened to me before. Yes, I've used ELS before.

    It's very good mod !! but i have a question, how to select the siren of sheriff cars instead of the siren of police cars in xml file ? Because it's always the same siren as me hear when i activate the horn or code3.

    Edit the line <audioNameHash>POLICE</audioNameHash> in vehicle.meta to whatever you would like it to be for that vehicle. It is found in 

    (mods) > update > update.rpf > common > data > levels > gta 5

    Yeah thank but i even know this tip :) i want say for ELS mod but i found in reading the .pdf in "siren section" .

    HEY. can anyone tell me why my lights wont turn on? you can see them on the charger as i toggle on and off on load screen but they dont turn on when i activate the lights and sirens. I only get the typical factory car lights that flash. eg tails and markers. ive confirmed my locations and installed everything i can find but nothing seems to help.
