Emergency Lighting System 1.05

The left D-pad on my controller activates the lights and also opens up the Police Radio. I would appreciate any help from anyone on setting up the controller. I was thinking using the up on the D-pad for police radio but unsure what it toggles.

I would like all the lights running as soon as i press on the Left D-pad instead of the warning lights coming on and pressing it 2 more times to get all the siren lights working. Where would that be under configurations.

I have very weird problem, for some reason my main lights dont work. ELS sirens work and menu opens up and wig-wags work also. Menu shows that they are toggled on but kightbar doesnt light up only wig-wags. I tried two different cars - Potato's charger and Windows446's charger and both have the same issue. I installed vcf and everything and ELS log is showing it finds vcf file but lights stiil do not work. Help pls

Love ELS. I just wish there was a way to customize the controller keys, some of them are very useful on the controller.. but some others drive me absolutely nuts.

This. I hope there will eventually be an update to customize the controller inputs. Having my car go into "blackout mode" every time I select something in a menu or pull over a vehicle drives me nuts.

Same story for me. Worked like a charm before the update. I tried reloading the vcf files, using the default one, deleting all of them and installing one by one,etc. All to no avail. I even tried going back to version 1 with no luck. Anyone else experienced this and managed to resolve it somehow?

On what? My computer? No. I have antivirus and nothing's been flagged. I don't see how that would impact a game.

Is this as unstable as it was in gta iv?

Don't mess with this if yours is working like I did... I my case I miss the strobe sounds (going back to v.1,00) Sometimes my patrol car and other POLICE patrol cars disappear leaving me and other officers on foot patrol.

IT WAS THE SCROLL LOCK.. WHICH ENABLES THE LIGHTS ON MY KEYBOARD. THANKS TO @POLICECO FOR THE INFO.

Same issue for me. I cannot get the lights to work like they did before. I reverted to the save folder i made before i updated it and still no luck. It is not the scroll lock becuase the siren and rear lights work. However no front lights or other lights, light up.

Absolutely not. I've never had this crash on my once so far, it's ROCK solid.

It works now. Here is what I did in the following order. I don't know what fixed it exactly but here it goes. I reinstalled ELS 1.05 and deleted all previous vcf files. Then I reloaded my cars with Open IV one by one. As I loaded one car, I inserted the appropriate vcf file for the car. Once all done, I loaded the game and it worked.  Also to note, I installed a new plugin that had a newer ragenativeui.dll (2017-01-06) which I did use to replace the older one. I don't think this has anything to do with ELS but you never know.  

So hopefully for whoever has the same issue I had, give it a shot. Good luck!

I've had the same issue and this doesn't work either. Looks like we're on our own, too.

I personally swapped out the key in the PoliceRadio.ini to open it to be "NumPad5" and set the Controller option to "None". Conflicts with nothing on my end

IM not sure why. In theory the back up I made should work like before the update. I have basically reinstalled everything and cant figure out what iI have done wrong. I will say when it did work it was amazing. No crashes no issues. However, since the update its pooched. 

Im trying to replace one ELS car in a RDE slot, example, the BXBuggs CVPI in the Hwaycar2 slot, so I replace the vehicle files with the OpenIV and place the Hwaycar2.xml in the ELS/pack_default folder, but its not working, I also tryed with other vehicles from other modders, what im doing wrong?

I'm glad it worked for you, though I'm not sure how that is any different from what you previously did.

In my case, there's no reason why it would have stopped working. I had only one ELS car installed, it worked one day, loaded it up the next day and no lights, other than the rear brake lights and siren, would turn on. I didn't install any new material and I didn't edit anything. I've put the default vehicles back in, upgraded to 1.05, and installed a ELS car in a different slot, hoping that would fix it; it did not. I guess my next step is to totally remove all ELS and try again...With so many people having the exact same problem, I don't know why we're on our own for troubleshooting. I can't imagine this didn't come up for anyone while testing it.

**Issue fixed**

So for some unknown reason, after completely removing everything ELS related and re-installing it, the lights are working again. Delete everything that has to do with ELS. So all I did was see what was included in the ELS zip file, I erased all that out of my folder, and just installed everything else all over again. Hopefully this fixes it for everyone else.

Don't disable controller support? lol. I can confirm the same, but that's gonna be the only 'fix' until they address it with an update.

Cant do that.. All my controller is mapped to other commands/mods :/
