BetterDispatchAudio 2.2

(39 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Are you tired of hearing "IN, UHHHHHH"? Tired of "DIS BOBCAT 4 EN ROUUUTEE!!!"? So was I. So I fixed that. Better Dispatch Audio (B.D.A.) includes completely new AI Responding Audio (from NFS Most Wanted). Calling for backup (and Helicopter Support) will trigger this. Ending a callout from Albo's "Assorted Callouts" or "Traffic Policer" and finishing up with "BetterEMS" will also trigger new audio, changing "We are Code 4, no further units required" to "All Units you can clear this call, return to patrol". Pursuits are much more immersive. This has been a several weeks long process, with restless nights, and my 1'st mod. I'm happy to release it here for the community. Please let me know what you think of it, and enjoy.

Works with...

LPCallouts

PoliceSmartRadio

HeroCop

AssortedCallouts

TrafficPolicer

AgencyCallouts

BetterEMS

CodeRedCallouts

ArrestWarrantCallouts

PeterUCallouts

ArrestManager

VocalDispatch

Tacco's Highway Callouts

OJ's Plugins

Streetname Addon (All streets)

Standard Dispatch version works with just about any callout pack.

Installation : Simply drag and drop the provided folders to their designated locations. A ReadMe.txt has been provided for your convenience.

A special thanks to mikegolden Games and Gallonman20 on Youtube, for taking interest in this mod, and uploading videos about it. Please check out their channels, as they both do fantastic LSPDFR related Content, plus more :woot:

*Disclaimer* Audio used in these videos is outdated by about a year. These sounds were from the very beginning stages, and the mod is much more cleaned up these days.

What's New in Version 2.2

Released

2.2

If you don't like the Custom Dispatcher's voice, please download the "Standard Dispatch" version. Yes, I brought it back

I've updated this mod, to keep up with all recently released callout packs (including Tacco's Highway callouts released recently, honestly perfect timing bud)

Callout pack not compatible? Link me to it, and I'll see about adding that in. I won't add it if it's no longer a supported plugin however (meaning, incredibly outdated and buggy). The callouts I have now, I have personally verified that they are working properly on the latest RPH and version of GTA.

Hey, I saw that you said this mod is now discontinued but I was wondering if you could add support for UltimateBackup? If not, is it possible for us to do it ourselves by using the files that are already present in the mod? Thanks.

Hmm... It should work with UltimateBackup out of the box. I used it for about a month prior to the release of 0.4

As always I recommend dragging and dropping the files of B.D.A. over ANY plugin that uses the same files. The only files that don't work as expected with UltimateBackup are the Helicopter files (which really sucks because I love those lol). But if the new UltimateBackup has added new files then I'll be happy to take a look. Just let me know 😉

Ah I see, I was trying to see if it worked by calling in a helicopter so that's why I thought it wasn't working, my bad. Also I noticed that even though I'm using the normal pitch version some lines (specifically names of locations) are still heard as the altered pitch. Why is that? It could be that I messed something up during installation but I only installed the normal pitch version.

I went ahead and re-checked the Normal Pitch version. Working as intended, though much louder than before. This is due to the new LSPDFR, and the way that it reads audio files. UltimateBackup however was relatively quiet from what I remember. Therefore, my next best guess is that you have an old plugin's (calloutpack) audio files in gta5/lspdfr/audio/scanner

This could have happened if you downloaded my altered pitch version long ago. Just double check the files I've listed as working above, and make sure you don't have any old callout pack files not in the list

People (myself included lol) tend to forget to delete those audio files when they delete a callout pack. Believe it or not, even after deleting the plugins, the audio files CAN over-rule the audio from other packs. So always make sure you get rid of the old audio folders from packs you don't use anymore. I hope this helps bud

just downloaded this and it is not working at all. Followed the easy install and nothing still vanilla dispatch. I keep hearing the sound the radio makes right before someone speaks but nothing comes out. Hit F4 and it says audio empty or failed something like that anyone know what I did wrong

Hmm.... Where did you install the folders? Also, was this the very last thing you installed, or did you install a plugin of any kind after this?

this was the last thing I installed. But looks like Stop the ped and ultimate backup just got updated so ill be doing that. Anyways I followed the directions and put them where the readme said to put them. Im wondering if they needed to be in the scanner portion as opposed to the Policescanner folder.

Ah, right you are. The new location is

GTAV/lspdfr/audio/scanner

Just drag drop the folders within 😉

ok thanks, wonder why the readme says to put it into the POLICESCANNER folder?? Hope I didn't screw anything up.

If you're on LSPDFR 0.4 you should no longer have a PoliceScanner folder. It should just be an audio folder titled "Scanner". The readme.txt says the old method, because I haven't updated this in about a year, and with 0.4 they changed the audio folder just a little. Still works as intended, just drop them into Scanner.

All right, what's inside your gtav/lspdfr folder?

Should be (as far as folders go)

audio

chars

data

Inside audio should be

scanner

sfx

We'll figure out which folder needs to be taken out (safely).

For me gtav/lspdfr folder=

audio

chars

data

policescanner

No problem, go ahead and remove PoliceScanner

The other folders are good to go 😉

NOTICE:

To all who download, LSPDFR 0.4 has changed the audio folder around just a bit.

From the download, open the PoliceScanner folder.

Now drag/drop the folders from there, into GTAV/lspdfr/audio/scanner

Thank you to @Deputybrandt84 for bringing this to my attention.

Actually, that's not enough. I've done that and Dispatch has mixed voices. They didn't just change one file, they merged various files and added some, so now it has less files than before and most audio files are reorganized. Here's an example image. Left = Original files with slight modding. Right = BetterDispatchAudio

MxDza9w.png

Examples of new folders they added: COLOUR, ON_FOOT, SUSPECTS, SPECIFIC_LOCATION.

As a result, this mod is in need of an update 😞 Oh well...

None of those files are necessary for this mod to edit, provided you're using the "StandardDispatch/NormalPitch" version.

The Custom Pitch is so outdated that I cannot even bring myself to update it.

For the standard pitch version (which is the most updated, and works with 0.4) all you need are the following folders

ATTENTION_ALL_UNITS

CONJUNCTIVES

REPORT_RESPONSE

s_f_y_cop_01_black_full_01 all the way down to s_m_y_cop_01_white_mini_04

UNITS_RESPOND

That's it 😉 , unless you have callout plugins, in which case just add those folders as well.

Ah, I actually didn't even thought about the standard pitch version. Completely forgot about it XD

I admit, I did like the custom pitched one. But I'll have no problems getting used to the standard one, though. Thanks for clarifying that up for me 😄

Can you clarify your pinned comment, should we instead be using: B.D.A. 2.2 Standard Dispatcher.7z

My guess is yes based on your above comment.
