how do we make thia as a add on with custom carvariations i have tried everything putting handling line in christmas2 dlc common trainer says it spawned but nothing appears i did use installer and changed name in all files to buggs but cant get it to spawn as i already have other slots taken, also tried to mimic captain14 els custom update pack by trying to add a vehicles.meta to dash folder and adding this to bxbugsconfig.xml,

      <filename>dlc_bxrxchgr:/dash/vehicles.meta</filename>
      <fileType>VEHICLE_METADATA_FILE</fileType>

but still a nogo on spawning just says invalid model am i missing something another file maybe

I have the car in the police 2 slot... I want the car to spawn with the lightbar, how can I do that? Thanks for your help!

For some reason when I install it as OIV it won't overwrite the fbi slot.

Because you have FBI in a patchday AFTER where the folder is for this vehicle. Remember that the patchdays override eachother. The farther down they go, the more they override. Because this is the first or second folder, it overrides nothing, but because your modded fbi car is in the patchdays, it overrides this.

I had checked my patchdays but I more than likely missed one. I'll check again, thanks!

Well, im pretty sure if you do use it you can make the fbi siren sound like police.

You can do that with a vehicles.meta edit too, just change the audioNameHash to POLICE

For some reason at night /early morning /late afternoon the tail lights dont light up. The headlights and brake lights do but the steady tail lights do not. Is it just me or a bug? I have it replacing police2.

do you have your post fx and shadder on at least high is so and still a problem try radiance v if none of thoses work i have no other idea's

I have shaders on high and post fx on ultra. I also have radiance v installed.

maybe visual v then i have not used it my self but i hear it can do some good

Within the default vehicles.meta file under "police2",

Replace this code.

When I try to add liveries, they dont show up. And, only the "san andreas state patrol" livery out of the ones included works for mine. Should I just reinstall the whole vehicle?

The lightbar is black on top (lights are fine). Is it supposed to be like that or did I install it wrong?

OK, I figured it was designed that way but it caught my attention because the top of a lightbar is usually clear (or matches the lights).

Thanks for the quick response. It's good to know it's not just my installation.

model works great only compaint is when i hit something or if i am trying to pit a vehicle the light bar and rambar both fly off it is in the vehicles file i can change them to strong correct? its been a little while new update playing hell with getting cars installed and working

easy way is use trainer and just save vehicles to the trainer you can mod the car change components and liveries thru trainer as well.....save desired config to trainer or multiple configs you can save like 10 vehicles to the trainer

Hey bugz after I installed the OIV file under my mods folder it created a whole new update folder that is in my mods ?  Is that normal or can I just combine the charger folder over to the existing update folder ?  Hope that made sense

yeah its normal for this car to do that it will replace the police slot as normal

thanks for answering ,  the problem i having now that it created a new update folder and the only cars that are in the dlcpacks folder now are just the bxbugs chargers i have ,  so now when i try to add vehicles to the other update folder they are not showing up in the game ?  I now have 12 patchday folders ,  is that normal ?  Some how the new update folder that has the dlcpacks is overiding any other vehicles i try to  add

 

when you usually click the dlcpacks folder there are usually all the other folders and patchday folders in it ,  but now since i used the oiv installer the only folders that are in the dlc packs are the chargers and crown vic that bugs created ,  hope this makes sense hard to explain i guess i should do a screen shot
