Glad you've used the model from Driver: San Francisco. Now here's hoping I can get an NYPD version with vector lightbar sometime soon, using the Driver San Francisco model as well.

@FCV96 I think Cj24 just made the 1999 nypd crown vic. You should try his. It's also the Driver SF model.

Also if I can get my hands on the CHP Whelen Liberty (it has built in rear traffic advisor), then I'll make that version as well.

Forgot to mention, it's Realistic Time Cycle that I'm using. It's a timecyc.dat mod.

You should try to make some CHP SUV's (If possible)

People don't like sharing mods... And the only SUV that's made for IV which CHP uses is the Tahoe. It's not used in chases anyway, I think it's just a supervisor SUV.

Hey. I am currently playing with the car and LOVE it. Only things I noticed and would fix myslef but dont know how to are two cells(one on the right and one on the left) of the traffic bar do not activate ever. Also, due to the brake light in the CVPI, I believe the CHP has the lightbar mounted a little bit off the bottom of the rear area so that the brake light does not block it. If you can fix that I would be totally awestruck :D

Well that's how the rear traffic advisor works in code 3 mode. Those lights never light up. Here's a pic:

20101106-SLA-CHP-slicktop-010

And also as you can see CHP didn't move the brake lights. It's there. It was weird for me for the first time too, but well since it's like that irl, I won't move it.

Okay well with the traffic advisor, when not in Code 3 Flash Pattern mode, meaning just using secondaries, do they usually light up? Also, is it possible that I can edit it because I love the car it just bothers me a tiny bit. :D

Well the model is unlocked, if you wanna remap a few of the extras it's all up to you. But this is how the CHP slicktop works.

Primary is code 3 - when the car is in drive (wig-wags on, front lights flashing, except for the steady burn dashlight)

Secondary is code 3 as well - when the car is in park (wig-wags off, front lights all on steady burn)

Hey I found it. Okay so nice job and you put a lot of work into this so very nice. I realize you didn't care to much for the other rear option I mentioned before where it goes B--AAA-, but I just realized could you make this in the C6 position as an option? Even if you cant use that one light on the right outside for an amber light, you can just make it B-AAA-- instead and call it close enough. That would be really cool to have both C1 and C6 as options. This seems very doable.

Also, this is the honest truth, Rarely to never do I ever see them leave the car in code 3 parked position. I would make the blue light off in secondary position and just have all solid reds in the front. Those are my two cents to spice up an already good car mod. Thanks Sgt. Kanyo.

Also to quote GTApoliceGUY123 regarding the placement of the light bar, this video I took shows the light bar is just above the rear break light or just barely touching.

Maybe an update in version 2 please?

okay I have some really good info for you. I did my research. I work with LAPD and CHP all the time.

So the first setting is just B--AAA-. The second setting is B-AAA-R.

This last thing I wanted to confirm with the CHP because I wasn't sure myself. I asked, "when you are stopped on the side of the road for traffic stops or whatever, which settings do you put on?" He told me they are trained to pull the car over and immediately turn on just the front solid reds by state law and also the rear directional by law. This is because if someone hits them in the rear they are asked "Did you have your directional lights on?" If not, then the defendant can use that as an excuse in court. This is what they are trained to do and if you want to go for absolute realism then there's your proof.

See the light tutorial. This CHP officer uses the directional rear bar when pulled over for the secondaries

Interior light tutorial.

All this to say, I still think the secondaries should be different than the primaries. Such as a directional or flashing amber and blue. Preferrable the directional. I understand it makes a flash in the front, but maybe just got blue and amber flash.

I do want to acknowledge that I believe you said it was impossible to make the blue light steady on and then the advisor moving to the left. Can you confirm that?

Sgt.Kanyo

Yes like I said, it's not possible to use steady burns with directional lights. Not on the front, not at the back.

As for the the blue and amber cutoff to the back, that's not possible. If I add the ambers to extra9 (that's how you could recreate the amber blue flashing with C-06, then it'll mess up the C-01 option, and it'd be like. Blue Amber vs. Red.

I'll try to show you what I'm talking about, but you can figure this out with snt as well, by spawning the car components one by one.

Extra7:

O O O O O O O

Extra8:

O O O O O O O

Extra9:

O O O O O O O

ELS C-01 works like Extra7 and Extra9 vs. Extra8

ELS C-06 works like Extra7 vs. Extra9

Therefor if I change the ambers to extra9, it'll mess up the C-01 option.

Also I based my car off of highway pursuits, where they always use code3 and if they stop the car, they leave it in code3 park mode.

Since directional lights could not have been done properly (no steady burns), I sticked with code3 park mode.

Also if you want to turn on the front steady burn reds, all you have to do is open up els menu, and turn on the wig-wags. It'll turn on the decklight's red only, with no traffic advisor. Sorry but that's all our options with els, and we don't have more extra parts to play with. At least this way I could recreate a full on realistic setting. If I used the directional light, it wouldn't be like the real one.

If you made these videos, well thanks for the effort, but that's all I can do.

I see. Then its ELS that is limiting us. Darn.

What did you mean by in the ELS menu there is the wigwags? Are you talking about the bright white takedown lights or is there something else Im missing? This would turn all the reads on I believe.

I did make those videos. It was fun. I work with the police and CHP most of the time at my job.
