(ELS) 2014 Bowman,SC Police Dodge Charger V2

(25 reviews)

6 Screenshots

This was made for someone on here that works with Bowman PD in South Carolina and we worked together to make this 100 percent realistic all the way down to flash lighting! Bowman is a very small town of just over 1,000 people. So, it isn't going to have alot of fancy stuff on it. However...This Charger turned out absolutely perfect!! Comes with it's own ELS for both red and blue and all blue lighting! Working spotlights and take downs!Also,4 extra liveries incase you want it. Haha. Hope you guys enjoy it!

How to install:

1)With OpenIV, navigate to mods/x64e.rpf/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf.

2)Once you have done that, click *Edit mode* and then press the green "+"under it.

3)Import the police.yft,police_hi.yft and police.ytd

4)Open the "Bowman Charger.rar" and navigate to extras/lighting options/Blue ELS and install the "POLICE.XML" into GTA main folder/ELS/pack_default.

That's it! Go patrol!

Note:You can change the car name to anything you want! Doesn't have to police.yft!

P.S. If you don't want to install it there (That's where I install it..But some people do it in the patchday) navigate to the following:

Update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday14ng/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf

and bam!

Stay thirsty my friends..

So I want this to be out there for everyone else as well so it can be clarified. I have sent this message out, but I figured I'd copy and paste it into the comments so this can be known!

How's it going? Just came by to introduce myself and clarify some things that I had seen in the comments on the "Bowman Charger". I was just browsing through and had seen everything that you had said. As of right now, I am no longer employed with Bowman PD due to medical reasons and I have to have surgery on my wrist again, so I was not able to complete the academy. I was previously employed with Bowman PD for almost 2 years (august would have been two years). This is how everything started, so I can be real with you and start from the beginning. I contacted GUMP the week before Easter. I had seen on his page for LCPDFR he had previously made a Bowman Heat Charger. I was completely blown away to actually see our charger on here since we're so small. I contacted GUMP to see if he could re create the charger for me, so I could play with it in LSPDFR. I am completely new to PC gaming and this was the first time I have every played/modded any games on PC, so i have no idea how to do these things myself. Anyways, I told GUMP what was in the car all the way down to how there's no console on the inside and I usually put the remote for the light bar in the passenger's seat. I just wanted to let you know that when I contacted GUMP i was 100% employed with Bowman PD and had been for some time now when he was contacted. I know it didn't need to go into full detail about these things, but I just wanted to clarify this with you so that you would know that he was in fact not lying about corroborating with me on the build for the Charger. Have a good evening and God Bless! would know that he was in fact not lying about corroborating with me on the build for the Charger. Have a good evening and God Bless!

Just want to say thank you for your service of policing and have fun policing the streets of los santos with the los santos police department.

@Gump It's like driving on ICE, it tried fiddeling with the handling file but something in the car just seems off, I have several chargers ingame which handle fine with default settings but this one doesn't

So my point is still the same.  A Police Officer from Bowman did not help with this model.  The textures were referenced from a site called https://scpolicecruisers.com/, which is a website noone in this community would know about, unless I had let Carper know about it.  That website contains all of the visual information needed to recreate the charger, so why would another person even be needed to work on it?  Pointless lies over a statement that should have been edited.  There is, nor was there ever, a police officer from Bowman who helped make this model.  Cheers and salt for years.

Strange, I've installed all the files correctly only difference being that I'm using for the POLICE2 slot, and when I spawn it in-game. It ends up looking like a messed up wreck.  It's the yft files that seem to have a difference. If I open up the police2.yft in OpenIV it the model shows it correctly, with the HPD skin I'm using, but when I open up the police2_hi.yft the model it shows is different and in the LSPD skin.
Edit: NVM, I think I figured out the problem it was because I had renamed the file of police_hi.yft to police_hi2.yft, which should have been police2_hi.yft.
2nd Edit: I solved the problem, it was indeed because of myself not renaming files correctly.
