I'm very proud to finally present you the latest FancyPanties Development project called CVPI-VUV (Various-Utility-Vehicle)

 

VUV (Various-Utility-Vehicle) means this car contains several additional parts beside extra parts, that can be mounted. They can be applied via Mod-Menu / Benny’s Custom Parts through native trainer:

5x Setina pushbar versions
5x interior/rear compartment layouts
5x spotlight versions
4x antenna versions
3x Setina gunrack versions
2x Whelen rear interior lighters
2x steeringwheels
1x Toughbook C19
1x Setina prisoner compartment

@ghost128  The CVPI with the vector lightbar only partially works for me.  The lights/strobes in the middle don't do anything.  How can I get them to work?

Sorry for the delay in replying, wanted to get screenshots.  I mean this.  Notice how not all of the lightbar light up.  The only parts that light up are the one that is lit now and the one on the exact opposite side in the first pic.

Figuered it out, so if you used the OIV just go into OPEN IV the regular file's not the mods folder. Copy the original EXTRATITLEUPDATEDDATA.META & DLCLIST.XML onto your desktop and then merge them into your mods folder. I think this is where the problem is with the OIV. Only took me 4 hours to figure out but atleast not i can play my game.

yes if you do so you just restored the game by telling gta that there is no new package added. I think the whole probleme could be forced by some additional equipment parts which have to be added in benny's mod menu from which gta doesn't recognize the name. Strange thing about is that some gta version does not have a problem with that and others do.
So I'm about renaming those parts which doesn't use orignal tuningpartnames and will see if that works out at least

 

meanwhile you can try following:

go to the path and delete all files with "police7" at it's name and try if you're game runs again.

Couple issues here.

Your mod wants to overwrite my entire carcols.ymt file. Why? You could just consolidate all your changes into the carcols.meta file you're including in the dlcpack. 

extratitleupdate.meta.. why are we touching this file? It's not necessary. Take a look at most other dlcpack addon mods like the one from Captain14. Seems like things are being overcomplicated when they don't need to be. You don't need to overwrite ANY file in update.rpf to install a dlcpack. The only file you need to edit in update.rpf is dlclist.xml and that's just one line.

Thx for the advise.. I had viewed some dlc packages and all implemented edits in extratitleupdatedata.meta but I will try at the next project.. We're all still learning ;) carcols changes will be listed as single textlines in next update

You should make your sirens a weird number, like 38 and 39 instead of 14 and 15. That way you won't be fighting with other carcols. I tried to do it myself, but I've ended up with lightbars that do nothing. May or may not continue to try ;p

Cool, I managed to get it working with custom siren IDs thanks to your carcols_to_add.txt. The vector lightbar seems like it might need to be a little brighter? 

And is there any possibility you could document all the extras and trainer mods by part?

Great model. Only problem I have is... when I replace the Police 3 model in OpenIV, it has no liveries, the lighbar isn't colored correctly, and the lights are far forward of the light bar...  If I use the installer I can spawn the car from Police8, however theres no options or other liveries other than the base model (black and white) does anyone have any insights on how to fix this issue with the police 3 model?

I've created a new beta version for you guys which had problems with the replace-version of police3 slot.
Please contact me who had run into this issue and I will send you a beta-key for the download

@ghost128 I replaced police3 with your car and it works fine up close.  However, at a distance, the car isn't rendering in.  Anyway to rectify/fix this?
