2015 Chevy Tahoe PPV Slicktop/Unmarked 1.0.0

(14 reviews)

18 Screenshots

The 2015 Tahoe Slicktop/Unmarked unit has finally hit the streets of San Andreas! This model features all-realistic lighting and a variety of equipment options to enhance your patrolling experience. This vehicle is great for use in the county or the city - add a rambar, spotlights, and a skin for a heavy-duty patrol unit, or go with a more subdued unmarked vehicle to blend in with your surroundings! Textures are included for all-blue lights to give you further options to choose from.

This vehicle is intended to replace FBI2, but it can also be used in the SHERIFF2 slot (or any other vehicle slot with sirensettings 1). It supports multiple liveries and uses the same template as my previously released Tahoe. To install, simply place all vehicle files in in GTA V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday11ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf.

**YOU MUST USE RADIANCEV OR ANOTHER GRAPHICS MOD TO MAKE THE LIGHTS LOOK AS THEY SHOULD.**

Equipment:

  • Federal Signal Solaris ILS
  • Federal Signal Latitude SignalMaster
  • Whelen Ion
  • Whelen TIR3
  • Whelen Avenger
  • Integrated police console
  • Spotlights (extras)
  • Stalker Radar (extra)
  • Panasonic Arbitrator dashcam (extra)
  • Setina Rambar
  • Prisoner partition
  • Various equipment in trunk

Extra parts:

  • Extra 1: Spotlight
  • Extra 7: Stalker Radar Unit
  • Extra 8: Panasonic Dashcam
  • Extra 9: Traffic Advisor
  • Extra 10: Passenger-side spotlight
  • Extra 11: Setina Rambar

Additional Information:

  • I hope to eventually add true Tahoe steel rims to this model. Unfortunately I do not have the permissions to do so at the moment.
  • The back/side window textures get all funky looking when broken. I do not know how to fix this but will take care of it once I have a solution.
  • Gauges work but are improperly calibrated.
  • Due to the way the lights are set up, they will not deform or break during collisions.
  • This model is not to be redistributed, in whole or in part, on any website other than LCPDFR.
  • This model uses the same template as the other Tahoe I released so skins are cross-compatible. I have included the template in the download.

Please report any bugs not noted above so I can fix them. Enjoy!

Hi Captain14! Thanks for this.

Here's a two bugs I've found which are not listed above. They are under the spoiler below:

Spoiler

1a.jpg

Something is hanging in the air above the wheels. When you just ride, you can't see these pieces because they're under the ground.

Spoiler

1b.jpg1c.jpg

Something wrong with dirtmapping. Also one side of the car is more dirty than other.

I will look into both of these, particularly the dirt mapping. I believe the floating mesh has to do with how the sirens are configured.

amazing model.  This now makes my game complete as far as modded police vehicles.  I only have one issue.  Since I am using this model to replace the Policeold1 model(North Yankton Rancher) the sirens work but I have no lights.  I know it says it needs sirensettings 1 etc and I am pretty sure that is probably not matching up. I just don't know which vehicles.meta or carvariations.meta I should edit to fix the lights.  Can anyone help me figure that out?

Thanks,

Disregard, I fixed it. I took a Carvariations.txt from another model using sirensettings1 and changed model to policeold1 and put in mpchristmas2.. Works like a charm.

I wished the one with the lightbar had a radar on it

I have radiancev, but the lights still dont look right. Do I need to do something with the car variations file or vehicle meta?

SO WHERE DOES THIS GET INSTALLED?

THERE IS NO DOC IN THE FILE OR ON HERE?

Is there a way to make it so the vehicle is black instead of white? I know the "readme" says car variation causes it to spawn white.  I just think it would look better if I called for Noose and they pull up in black unmarked Tahoes instead of white.  Anyways...I absolutely love this vehicle!

Any chance you'll add coronas to the light setup? This vehicle doesn't cast light on nearby surfaces like the rest of the cars I have installed.

On second thought, it's not really necessary. Your newer FBI/Sheriff pack has a beautiful Tahoe w/ coronas.

Can moderators not create the vehicle as realistic as the real life model because they want to release ASAP it but really can't get permission for all those little details.

What should the siresettings in carvariations be for the FBI2 (SUV)? I changed it to "1," but there are no light reflections on the buildings. I previously install the other FBIpack, but I like this SUV better. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Any way to add the building reflections on this unit? I have not seen any reflections from the mod which is very depressing because it is such a beautiful model.

Hey man, beautiful model. I love everything about this model that you have created. It is flawless. I just have one problem and one problem only. When i add the Ram Bar extra on the vehicle and i turn on the lighting/sirens the blue lights on the rambar actually appear to go off behind the vehicle and not actually where i is suppose to be. Is there a way i can edit and/or fix this issue?

No ELS light file?

I've absolutely loved using this model, but I did want to ask if there's something in one of the car files I need to change for the high beams to work. When I switch to high beams, the model emits light visually from the headlights but doesn't actually cast any usable beam of light. Thanks!
