New Plugin Showcase:

pdComp — Police Computer for LSPDFR

A modern, immersive police computer for LSPDFR with deep records-framework integration.

pdComp transforms police roleplay in GTA V with a fully interactive MDT/CAD system featuring a simulated police-computer desktop, draggable applications, persistent records, evidence-aware court systems, and integrated records support. It now works with either Policing Redefined (via CDF) or Stop The Ped as its records backend.

Built from the ground up for immersion, pdComp replaces outdated menu-driven police computers with a realistic in-game operating system complete with:

  • Rugged police laptop interface

  • Draggable and resizable windows

  • Desktop wallpaper and app icons

  • Window snapping

  • On-foot patrol tablet

  • ALPR/BOLO notifications

  • Standalone ALPR plate reader and speed radar

  • Persistent criminal justice records

  • Persistent dark mode

Deep Records-Framework Integration

A records integration is required — pdComp has no standalone vanilla mode. Choose your backend with `[Integration] Mode`:

When used with Policing Redefined + CDF, pdComp becomes part of a connected policing ecosystem:

  • Pulls synchronized suspect and vehicle records directly from PR

  • Supports evidence-linked arrest reports

  • Integrates with PR citation workflows

  • Tracks warrants, suspended licenses, insurance status, registrations, permits, and more

  • Uses tested evidence and relevance checks in court outcomes

When used with Stop The Ped, pdComp combines LSPDFR persona/vehicle data with STP's:

  • Document-status API (license, registration, insurance)

  • Alcohol-over-limit and drug-influence advisories

  • Contraband/evidence search results, importable as current-call evidence

Core Features

  • Pedestrian & vehicle lookup

  • Citation issuing

  • Arrest reports

  • Court docket & hearings

  • Evidence-aware case outcomes

  • Prior stop and citation history

  • Persistent case database

  • Standalone ALPR & speed radar

  • Persistent vehicle BOLOs with ALPR-style hit alerts

  • Report Center for incident, use-of-force, and vehicle damage reports

  • Mouse, keyboard, and controller support

  • Full-screen immersive UI

Changelog

pdComp v0.3.8
  • Added optional NPCAI context support.

    • When NPCAI is installed, pdComp can provide extra context for NPC conversations.

    • Supported context includes traffic stops, ID checks, searches, citations, arrests, evidence handling, and vehicle contacts.

  • Renamed the Callout page to Dispatch.

    • Vehicle BOLOs have been added to the renamed Dispatch page, and is now next to live callout activity.

    • The page now better reflects its broader dispatch-related functionality.

  • Added support for federal charges and federal court.

    • Federal charges can now be handled separately from standard local/state charges.

    • Federal court support has been added for applicable arrest and court workflows.

  • Added Vehicle Accident(crash) Reports to Report Center, including printable crash-report previews.

    • Supports involved parties, driver licenses, multiple plates, fault investigation notes, and call-data draft insertion.

    • Includes Traffic Supervisor review logic.

  • Expanded court outcomes.

    • Court results are now less generic and include more realistic outcome possibilities.

    • New possible outcomes include license suspensions, DUI programs, ignition interlock requirements, drug diversion or treatment, protective orders, domestic violence counseling, weapons prohibitions, restitution, stay-away orders, and more specific probation terms.

  • Improved localization updates.

    • Localization files no longer need to be replaced during updates.

    • pdComp will now add new or missing localization lines to the existing localization file.

    • This should make updating easier while preserving user edits.

  • Changed the notification sound.

    • pdComp notifications now use a Windows 11-style sound instead of the native GTA notification sound.

  • Added separate key bindings for the vehicle MDT and the field tablet.

  • Added clearer “open denied” notifications.

    • Messages now better explain why pdComp cannot open, such as when the player is moving, outside a vehicle, in the wrong vehicle, or has the field tablet disabled.

  • Improved Ped Lookup and Vehicle Lookup recency.

    • Recently checked IDs and plates now appear first instead of being reshuffled alphabetically.

  • Added clearer Clear Data actions.

    • Improved consistency across Home, Ped Lookup, Vehicle Lookup, Citation, and Arrest workflows.

  • Improved Vehicle Lookup persistence.

    • Vehicle records now remain available even after the original in-world vehicle unloads.

  • Improved STP record display.

    • Weapon permits, hunting permits, fishing permits, probation status, and parole status are now surfaced more clearly.

    • Configurable fallback odds are used when STP metadata is unavailable.

  • Improved prior-history context.

    • Filed pdComp citations and arrests can now appear in a ped’s prior-history context instead of relying only on generated background history.

  • Improved STP/CDF record syncing so permit, parole, and probation details update more reliably.

    • Partial STP/CDF updates no longer incorrectly preserve stale permit, parole, or probation fields.

  • Polished tablet and UI visuals.

    • Larger touch hit targets.

    • Cleaner stat colors.

    • Updated tablet typography and colors.

plugin is WIP and features will change/evolve/disappear throughout development as I strive more maximum stability and functionality

Recommended Comments

Is there a way to have the PDComp keep the game un-paused (which I have that setting on) while on the computer in the cop car but not get out of the car when I type "F" for example when I'm searching a name or searching a charge; because I'll be in the cruiser type "F" and then my guy gets out and the screen is still active. Anyone know or Author? Thanks in advance.
