EARLY DEVELOPMENT

This is an early release of a very in-depth application with a lot of features, there WILL be bugs.

 

Please, before leaving a bad review, leave a comment here or preferably on the ReportsPlus Discord with the issue and I will work to fix it ASAP.

Description:

- ReportsPlus was designed to act as an external MDT that can be used from another device (Windows/Mac OS) to create reports, receive actual game data, and make the LSPDFR experience much more immersive.


- ReportsPlus really shines when used from a separate system you have next to you, as it mimics an actual MDT, however, you can use it from the same system if you don't have access to another laptop you can use.


- ReportsPlus is not just typing reports like the name may suggest, as ReportsPlus has a fully functioning court system, lookup system for peds and vehicles, callout popups, ID popups when asking for them, tons of customization, and report types, full language translation, and SO MUCH more than I can list here.

 

- This is not a window that opens in-game such as something like CompuLite, it is an external application that connects to your game to be able to receive actual game data. 

 

Key Features:

  • Court System- When creating a Citation or Arrest report, a court case will be created. These court cases will reveal their outcomes over a customizable amount of time, with charge/citation outcomes being taken from your Charges.xml and Citations.xml (Compatible with Compulite Charges/Citations)
  • Ped/Veh Lookup- Peds and Vehicles can be looked up in their respective lookup apps. You can see tons of data for each such as license information, previous charges/citations, times stopped, vehicle registration/insurance information, and much more.
  • Callout Popups- If you have Callout Interface installed, when receiving a callout in-game they will pop up on the Application where you can see their data. They then get put in the Callouts app to be viewed or closed with a Callout report created.
  • ID Popups- If you have STP, when asking a ped for their ID or patting them down, you will have an ID popup in the Application with the suspect's ID and their information.
  • Advanced Notes- Notes can be written in the Notes app, and data can be pulled directly from the notes into report windows when using tags
  • Log Browser- View and edit previously created reports, arrests, and citations.
  • Tons of Customization- You can customize almost everything in the Application. All of the colors can be changed as well as the desktop background color or setting it as an image of your choice. RP supports localization via the locale file to translate almost every piece of text in the entire Application. All dropdown options, Charges/Citations, Agencies/Divisions/Ranks, notifications, and so much more.
  • {NEW} Custom Reports- Create custom reports with completely customizable custom dropdowns which can be shared. For more information consult the User Guide included in the installation.

 

 

Usage / Installation / Troubleshooting:

- Make sure you consult the comprehensive USER GUIDE included in the download and other accompanying materials before attempting to use ReportsPlus.

  • ReportsPlus does have Requirements (Java/JDK), which are explained in-depth in the USER GUIDE
  • Make sure Java is installed FIRST
  • It seems a recent JDK 25 update is causing some people issues, you can download jdk24 here Java Archive Downloads - Java SE 24
  • If you have an issue please make a Support post in the ReportsPlus Discord

First off, I love this. I have always wanted something like this for LSPDFR. Throughout my testing, I noticed a few things that could be improved and I hope you will consider. But all in all, I really like where this is heading, and can't wait to see where it goes in the future. Definitely will be using on my patrols!  

 

Bugs:

  • No option to have multiple IDs up or switch between two at once. If I stop a car with two people in it, it overrides each other's IDs.
  • On the citations, I can't seem to get it to submit. It always says "please fill out the form" but doesn't highlight anything that needs to be fixed

 

Suggestions:

  • Full dark mode (the main screen under shift info and logs, not just the side and top bar)
  • Department/Area customization - a config file would be amazing to customize the department names, ranks, and specialty units for non-lore use. 
  • Separating the lookup tab into two separate options rather than a dropdown for easier access.
  • Ability to copy driver/vehicle info from the search to a citation or report directly.
  • Ability to add notes or clear a call in the callout manager.
  • An option to auto-log your calls or traffic stops and the ability to edit them.

    Glad you are enjoying it so far. I plan on adding the ability to display multiple IDs soon, I have a solution that I think would work well. As far as the citation report make sure all the dropdown boxes have something selected or it will give you that message. I will look into it though it is definitely possible I overlooked something. Also those are some good ideas, I could see myself implementing some of them.

    Hey figured this out, but it required me hosting a lan network between my two PC's.

    Dude keep up the good work!!! thanks for this mod Imma try it out right now!!! hopefully this one has the ability to print out tickets/citations to give during traffic stop.

    Pretty much what Epic Gaming said, though I'd like if you could also add some other things.

    Adding a court system would be nice, also having the option to print tickets/written warnings and handing them to the peds, being able to generate a citation/arrest etc number and adding a field for postals (for those who use a postal map)

     

    Also the callsign doesn't get saved, not that tragic but I just wanted to let you know.

    Some suggestions for future updates, if I may:

     - Option to save/remove our own divisions and agencies from the list
     - Agency logo in the top right of the main page, inc custom one we could upload (or save to local file)

     - List of offences for the arrest tab, searchable (offences customisable in xml file?)
     - In-depth settings system to change wording for some tabs (if this can be saved to an external settings file this would allow for the community to create international versions in their own languages, similar to the StopThePed localisation.ini file)

    Keep up the good work, looking forward to where this one goes

    Great ideas, I have a few of them in my notes already for future updates 😁. The localization file is a good idea, it would take me a bit to implement since every string in the application would need to be changed to first search the file, but I think it would be worth it in the long run.

    I've gotten the suggestion for the ability to hand peds tickets a few times but haven't figured out a good way to implement it yet, definitely on the table though. I will likely add the citation and arrest numbers when I add the court system since it would make everyone unique and better help you keep track of your citations and arrests. Postals are also a good idea I would probably add an option in the settings for whether you want to use them or not since I know some people do, some don't.

    This is exactly what I've been looking for. I started looking for a reports mod about a month ago so this was a life saver. One recommendation I would add is being able to choose any report to transfer information to for a new report instead of just a select few. If that's not the way you want to go, then I'd love to be able to transfer arrest or citation reports to a callout report. Thank you for such an awesome mod!

    If I had planned on actually releasing this to the public and making a project out of it I wouldn’t have used Java lol, not the best to work with for applications like this
