Open My Trunk 2.0.0

I LOVE the idea of this and how fast this would make things.  Can hardly wait for the INI, though, T is already bound to a few things.  The only thing I'd recommend is to consider making this a script, that way it's activated all the time.

thank you for the kind comment, I'm working on the ini file, but for my purposes, I think I chose the least intrusive keys lol (you never realize how many keys are taken up by other plugins until you try to make your own lol). I just can't believe no one has ever made a plugin/script for this already.

Oh no, it's not your fault.  There are so many keys for different things it's hard to know which will conflict.  The reason "T" is a problem is that it is used by some plugins for talking to peds.  Actually, you state this only works in vehicles - I missed that the first time.  I don't think T will be an issue then.

I am considering adding a function where the player can open the trunk remotely, say 5 or so feet/meters away (to simulate them using the car key to pop the trunk), but its only an idea at the moment

I like the idea, and personally think you should go for it!

The only issue with this would be the key conflicting with previous bindings while using specific plugins or script. It's easier to just the use trainer, especially when you know it's not going to conflict with anything. It's a cool thought though! I'm sure this is gonna work for other people, especially when there's a customizable config file, just something to take into account.

Ya, you are right, but I made sure both keys that I used for my plugin were ELS keys, therefore, if you didn't want to hear the site. Blip and horn sound every time you opened and closed your trunk, you could hit scroll lock first to disable ELS functions, then hit scroll lock again after you are done with the trunk. Idk, I was too lazy to use the menus each time lol.

why dont you just make 1 key do both? hit it once, it opens, hit again and it closes? unless the game constrains dont allow that

trunk opens ....you have the choice of equipping the following ...roadflares...less lethal Shotgun (mod required just fyi) high Vis Traffic Vest or Raincoat or Fire Extinguisher 

again its an idea doesnt mean it will happen but hope you can maybe possibly consider it

love the ideas, but for now, after I set up the .ini file I will be putting this plugin on hold as I have several others in production right now lol (a speed radar and ALPR combo, as well as integrating a brand new, large callout to my Transit callouts pack). however, when I come back to this plugin, I will definitely keep trying to make those ideas a reality. until then, I would recommend @Sebo 's Hold My Gun plugin, which to my knowledge allows you to equip a combat vest, as well as a fire extinguisher from the trunk.

I don't know if you're referring to my plugin that Viper mentioned or not, but yea, HoldMyGun supports key modifiers.

I'm sure Viper's plugins will support that as well sooner or later.

i meant this plugin, since having els, and some other plugins use a lot of keys lol

Add some Swat based Callouts to the transit pack i can help throw some ideas if neccessary

Found an issue.  It seems your mod already works remotely, and outside of the vehicle.

I was on a traffic stop, and pulled someone out of the vehicle.  I moved them in front of their car - one car length in front of mine, and pressed T for Interaction+.  The menu didn't open, but my trunk did.  Pressed Y and it closed.  So, uh, nice job adding in the feature without trying. lol

both works also do the same 2 for LSIA Runways it be Nice to have a bomb its perfect for swat :) again i just some ideas running in my head lol good luck Viper

Just was wondering when the INI might be coming out.  What stops me from using this plugin is that I use LSPDFR, and some callouts require talking to people with T or Y, which each time opens or closes my trunk while I'm far away from the vehicle.

i got all the coding parts done, and was just fixing a bug with the INI, when school started to get a bit more demanding, i will try to get it out within the next 2 weeks at the longest

from the comments, i think i can see you're working on an ini with keybindings, is that correct ?

@joe25 thats correct, i have the .ini part completed now, however i was busy over the last few days due to exams and other IRL things, so im just getting back into making plugins and liveries for LSPDFR again.

I am happy that it was updated but, I would like to see in the future where you can open and close the trunk with one key.

So in the words of HazyTube/Lazytube/GaezyTube.......... UpDaTe WhEn?!?!?!
